OSU might score 60 pts. Mich defensive is non-existant.
Stunning how bad they are today...missed tackles left and right, no adjustments, horrible blitzes, and guys wide open up the middle. ugh.

At halftime, the QB's in this game are 32 of 41 for a nifty %78 completion percentage with 399yds and 4TDs.
Bo and Woody are throwing up in their mouths in heaven.

In the only game that mattered today, Princeton beat Dartmouth and won the Ivy Title, an accomplishment not achieved since 1995. Well done, Old Nassau.
OK, carry on.

I honestly thought Michigan was good. Henne panics under pressure and seldom hits his second option and their defense has had so many missed tackles and assignments its embarassing.
I guess you ahve to root for USC to win out or else we could be subject to this game again. Yuck. I guess Arkansas or FL could get in, but FL has zero chance against OSU.

I had to stop watching after it hit 21-7. I threw a can of coke against the wall. It's been a long time since I've done anything like that - like since the '80s. At least I've never hit a living person or thing during a Michigan game, but that anger just wells up inside.
So I went to the basement and broke down boxes for an hour. I think I'm calm now, but I'm not turning on the television again, because I don't want to throw the next can and break the picture tube. At least I've got a good two carloads ready for the next time the dump's open.
According to the line score, OSU is 0-for-4 on third downs since the opening drive. It's a good thing Michigan solved that particular problem on defense. Oops, feel that anger welling up again. Maybe even the line score on Sportsline is too much to handle.

Good move just taking the 1 point, in my opinion. Lots of time left, and you don't want to miss the 2 and have Ohio St. kick a FG to go up 8.

As good as Smith was in the 1st half, he has been that shakey in the 2nd. INT was forced and, even though it was not a great snap, the fumble was a snap he could have had.

Just based on his stats and what I saw before I lost my temper, Smith is a worthy Heisman winner. He opens up everything for that offense, and he hasn't even started killing them with those draw plays yet. Maybe that's next if he's scattering a bit now. He took some solid hits in the first half, too.
I wouldn't have taken the 2 just yet. That's more for the last 3-5 minutes.

I'll take the over on that one, and toss in offsetting stupid 15-yard penalties at crucial moments.

OSU's offense is solid, and Jim's play calling is as good as it gets. Carr not so much. Michigan actually stayed in the game longer than I thought they would and after the first half, I feared a blowout.
The M defense had to show up big today and they didn't. The offense played as well as they are going to play against OSU. No way Florida, ND or anyone else beats OSU.
But for me, I'm not up for a rematch. This is THE GAME. Michigan had its shot at OSU, and they couldn't pull off the upset.
Congrats Sille, Smith is a heck of a QB.

Awesome game, an all-out war. This has been the best CFB season I can ever remember, and there are still almost 2 months left.
I am, however, shocked and disappointed that we didn't see either Skrub or Yammer dotting the "i" during the pregame.

As an MSU alum who despises both schools and would gladly piss on the graves of both Woody and Bo, I will come on here and say that was one helluva game. If the hype wasn't so absurd, it would have lived up to it. Many tiimes when a game is hyped, it ends being a complete snoozer blowout. Excellent game, excellent effort by both teams.
I hate both teams but would gladly see a rematch. Florida, Arkansas, ND, USC or any other team someone wants to throw on the board is not as good as Michigan, let alone OSU. Those two teams, to me, are clearly the cream of the crop. Rematch it.

Heep: I watched it in a bar in Milwaukee which was surprisingly pro-UM. I later learned that UM was the only team that beat to Wisconsin. By the time the game was over, all the pro-Buckeye folk had cornered a section of the bar where we made our voices heard.
I miss that passion for college football these folks have. It was awesome in there.

A few points on this game:
1) I know that I am a broken record on this, but Carr handed this game to Tressel. He needed to go for it on that 4th and inches early in the game when they were at midfield. His team was reeling and they needed to take some shots. Instead they punted and tOSU drove 90 yards for a TD. It was early, but that is not a winner's mentality.
2) I agree with Chemistry/Schemistry, there was no need for Carr to go for 2 there, it was too early. The announcers were way to sanctimonious in their criticism of Carr on that one. Pure bobblehead crap.
3) Wells has 3 more games against Michigan and he has already tasted blood. Nice.
4) If USC loses to ND (which isn't going to happen. Charlie Weis' next big win will be his first) then Michigan are definitely the 2nd best team in the country.
5) I am unclear why they kept Datish in with the broken hand. He was clearly having problems with it from the outset. I get it, he has played through it before, but he had 3-4 bad snaps in the first quarter before all of the the problems arose. Come on people!
6) As a gambler I was livid with the last pass interference call. It was bullshit, and tOSU should have won by ten to give me a perfect day. Instead I was happy but pissed off.
7) Kudos to the Michigan players, they gave it 120% and really played a great game. It was a super game.

Though I'm not sure it really was a makeup call, the holding on I think Ruben Riley (after playing with what looked like a seperated shoulder), was just a horrible call. This was during the same drive, a couple plays earlier.
First, they hadn't called a holding all day. I'm sure there were some holding with both sides, but it looked like the refs were letting them play. The holding call took away a first down catch to Arrington.
Tressel comes up with such great offensive plans. He really is a master on offense.
The problem with Michigan is they don't have a dime defense, which they obviously needed, again. They actually did put in Johnny Sears in the second half, which he could have replaced a LB. But the TD to Gonzalez at the end of the first half was thanks to LB Chris Graham covering Anthony.
Then, I've never seen a worse group of safeties play a game like that. Jamar Adams and Ryan Mundy should be embarassed. The runs by Wells and Pittman should have never occured. They either tackled poorly (Wells run) or they took horrible routes (Pittman run).
But, what can you say? Ohio St is the better team. They deserved to win. They put in a better game plan and adjusted better during the game. Manningham was shut down for most of the 2nd and 3rd Qs.
What did I say earlier in the week. That field was crap. Looked nice. But the roots never settled. The grounds crew, I'm sure worked hard. But that was embarrasing.
