I dont know what was shown on TV, but Price took his kid out to RF and walked around holding him/her up to the crowd, and the place went nuts and was chanting “Thank You dav—-id!” He out his kid down at one point and let him wander around, and then just started crying and wiling his eyes and bent over for a few seconds. It was awesome.

If you see this interview it’s so easy to understand the difference between him and Farrell. It’s not strategy or in game moves. It’s his personality.

Cora's a really frickin smart guy - if he wasn't going to be Sox manager for the next 20 years I'd say he would be an amazing color guy or analyst.

As a non American, why wouldn’t you meet with the president.

Even if you don’t agree with their political persuasion, it’s about the occasion isn’t it?

    I thought sports were apolitical.

No no no, let’s not do this here.

Legit question, but this will end poorly.

If he was that handcuffed by the analytics department, I'm guessing he'll be happy to leave.

I was there and even got I interviewed by mlb.com after the game. I was in Palm Springs for 2013 clincher and in Tucson for this one. So long as I'm at the game or in a desert the Sox win. I'll make sure to be in a desert somewhere next Sox series.

No need to apologize, just suffice to say we are in turbulent political times in the US, so even good-natured legit questions like this take turns for the worse.

Price seemed genuinely happy with Pearce winning the MVP. He is a good guy. What he did for the Sox this post season makes up for what he did to them as a Ray. Sort of. ;)

I'm guessing they recorded every possible outcome (there aren't that many permutations) and then edited it after the fact to match what happened.

Why did they work so hard to get home field advantage? Seems like a lot of unnecessary effort.

Probably recorded all permutations on that date and posted them all, now showing this one again. That said, I don't know what I'm talking about, so if someone knows this is legit I'm amazed too!

He was great during that interview, talking about how Nunez is a drama queen, he kept saying in game 3 "Don't take me out of the game" and Cora said "I can't we're out of players"...……………..

Nunez was a riot too during his MLB network interview; Harold Reynolds with the classic "Be careful going down the stairs" as he left the set.

So now comes the fun part where I wait to buy all of the DVDs and decide which jersey(s) to purchase. Kimbrel if he stays (pleassseeeee), Barnes, Brasier, Evo, Kelly, Price. Lot of options.

Such a cool, random piece of trivia that someone else posted before the game, worth updating here:

The Red Sox have now clinched a World Series in all four American time zones this century.

Pretty sure I made it into the last three World Series clinching game threads. Gotta keep the tradition alive.

While nothing will ever top ‘04, it never gets old. Didn’t leave Boston until I was in my late 20s and haven’t lived there for almost a decade now. The thing I’ve missed most is being in the city for championship games, parades, and the marathon. Hope you all are enjoying it.

I woke my almost 4 year old daughter up for the final few out tonight. An idea I borrowed from many a poster on this site. Was great to see her face when they won. Very different experience than the mayhem at Boston beer works across from Fenway back in 04 but special none the less.

Finally, props to DD, who I haven’t always been a fan of. He sure proved me wrong.

    Go Sox!
