He was in the clubhouse early before the rest of the team showed like he was getting it prepped

Congratulations to the 2018 Boston Red Sox and to all the SOSH’ers populating this part of cyberspace. It’s been fun.

There’s obviously going to be a memorabilia thread, but I’d welcome any early links or suggestions. Preference for professional photos that I can order prints of. Early candidates include the tendi catches, evoo, Pearce, BROCKHOLT cycling, etc. TIA!!

Castig stressing how lovable this team is and how well they get along, subtly contrasting with past WS teams.

As the playoffs evolved I wondered what the rest of the country thought of Papi on FOX and Pedro on The MLB Network being such obvious homers. Right now, I really don't give a shit.

Nothing will ever top 2004 but this seems like the most likeable team ever.

I can’t be happier and more excited . . . BUT. . . I fucking dropped the foul ball from Kiki in the 9th — hit me square in left hand, was filming with right hand and had to lean back a row, fell to ground and a douchey Dodger fan grabbed it off ground from me. Honestly, I really didnt need the 2nd or 3rd to last ball used in the World Series.

Speaking of Smoltz, any chance Sale goes his route and becomes a dominant closer after being an ace starter?

Just got home from the game. What an unreal, amazing night. Lots of Sox fans there. Great Dodgers fans as well. David Price getting so many cheers and chants. Lots of pics and vids to post at some point if anyone is interested. The moment when we all realized that was Sale coming out of the bullpen... WWE style entrance. I was going fucking nuts.

    And Pearce, holy shit!!!!!

    And Kelly!

you really think so? outside of a 1.5 game stretch where we still played even, our roster was just better than theirs. no manager could have wrestled this from us.

I wish my father, a lifelong Sox fan who was 11 weeks old when they won in 1918 but died in 1969, had lived long enough to see some of this run. But I'm happy that my youngest grandchild tonight joined the ranks of fenwaypaul family members in living through a Red Sox championship.

What's the protocol after winning the World Series? Am I required to start the gamethread for the season opener in 2019, or is it a full reset?

A-Rod on the side of Trump on game 4 I see. so much to say about that, but another time.

as far as this game, Kershaw was absolutely left in too long. didn't matter but it could have been a close-ish game at the end, it was not.

After all the years we had to suffer through the grating "19-18" chants from Yankees fans, I'd have no problem if we regularly hear chants of "20-18" from our fans during games against them next year. (Hopefully over time it won't become a taunt that requires a 2104 team of Idiots to exorcise, but that's a long ways off...)

amazing guy. glad we could revive his career, too bad it couldn't be with us.
