This is never going to get old.
Mookie looked real comfortable tonight too. If he heats up no way this comes back to Boston.
I was told there would be no math.
Not if I live ten thousand years.
Love the crowd chanting “A-Rod” after the drunken “Yankees Suck” cheer on the postgame.
And threw breaking balls for strikes consistently.
Cora has the same special power as Francona where every guy on the team is ready to contribute at any given moment.
The players are trusted through mistakes and bad patches and when given a chance the next time usually come through.
I can't believe how well this works. Except that Pedro could dance to traffic.
You know, i make fun of the Twilight franchise a lot, but they really nailed the feel of baseball.
Cora infamously likes to induce paranoia through misdirection
They say managing people is the biggest part of a manager’s job. Maybe this is a huge part of it and why these guys, many of whom were oft-maligned, have stepped up when we need them the most. Because their skipper has their back and believes in them.
Eovaldi didn’t have 102mph heaters, Kimbrel also didn’t have his 99mph heaters and Price didn’t get above 94mph. It must have been really cold out there today.
I trust Cora but I hope he doesn’t push it with Eovaldi. Still a lot of innings left.
If you have no intention of signing him....ride him like a rented mule all the way to a world title?
Sox retired the last 16 hitters.
That's the most in a World Series game since...Don Larsen.
Verducci loves interviewing 10D
Crash Davis being interviewed by Verducci again.
omg you know.
Of course you do.
Would it be that insane to offer Eovaldi at 20m annual contract? Certainly comfortable with using Porcello's conceivable re-up money being spent on Nate.
Benintendi: "No such thing as law of averages."
It’s a no for me, Dawg.
Yes. Who knows how long his arm stays in the socket.
Insane is a good choice of words
Would be more comfortable giving him Kimbrel’s money as Sale will need Porcello’s money.
Man, I hate myself for liking Arod.
It's not impossible he makes HOF but I'd have a very hard time seeing him get in anywhere near first ballot in a world where Mussina and Schilling still aren't really that close on their what 7th ballot?
Out of his similarity scores the only ones that probably even make the hall are Halladay and Scherzer, and Scherzer's career is crazy weird and not really comparable to anything.
I have a lot of respect for the way Dave Roberts handles his post-game interviews. Very calm, doesn't ridicule, honest.
The crowd drowning out A-Rod's babbling on FS-1 is in rare form. Kudos to the director for cutting away to a "J-Lo will You Marry Me" sign.
True story, I made out with his grand daughter at a college party. She was cool.
Man A-rod the announcer consistently gets to the point of me thinking he’s not so bad any more but then that smug crinkled smile comes across his face or he makes an awkward weird joke and I’m right back in 2004 wanting to see him get punched repeatedly in the face. I admit this is most likely a personality flaw of mine.
Ortiz is over like Austin in 98 with this crowd.
Never change, Dan.
Did she think your game was perfect?
Anyone catch the “Marry me J-Lo sign?”
If a bit delusional: “we had them. we stretched them.”
Wonder how A-Rod feels sitting there listening to that know he will only be in the HOF as a guest with a ticket.
Her prom night?
WOW! Me, too.
Cora presser on MLBN now
I hate myself for seeing that Arod is a better analyst than Papi
Papi’s blinged earpieces with those gold earrings... nice
The 2004 red sox that fox didn't want us to see
Wow, this is getting hotter by the minute. We should tour together.
Who on the Red Sox told A-Rod they can't believe Bellinger was on the bench to start both games?
Price definitely hit 95 a couple times
That can be said about Sale. Eovaldi making 4/80, as the market may dictate, is going to look like a steal if he's healthy 3 of those 4 years. They will be his prime years, and also years we've got most of this core intact. His market COULD be lower, but I wouldn't count on his agent listening to Alex Cobb type offers. That's probably the floor. Really would hate for another team to scoop this guy up....all I'm saying.
Price aside, you realize Eovaldi and Kimbrel both threw yesterday right?
