So, if I was doing a SoSH gamethread recap:
    - Sale is throwing too many pitches and should stop trying to strike people out
    - Sox need Mookie (who went 1-3, with walk, SB and 2 R) to heat up if they want to win the series
    - Cora is an idiot for pinch hitting Devers for Nunez!
    -Nunez!
    - Cora is a genius/Cora has horseshoe up his rear!
    - Why is Cora pitching Eovaldi in the 8th?!
    - Sox should sign Eovaldi in the offseason!
    - Gagne fixed Kimbrel!
    -Dirty Water

Could this team be any more likable? So many of them just seem like really sweet people, unusually so for world-class competitive athletes.

Sometimes it’s worth trading good prospects for a washed up relief pitcher just so he can renew his friendship with the utility infielder you’re going to hire in a decade as a manager.

The defensive difference between these two teams massive. Freese started it, Joc not getting to Beni’s double, Dozier diving a 3 times and coming up with nothing at second, it was across the board. This Sox team is designed to abuse defensive mediocrity.

‪At this point Alex Cora could come out and say his favourite players are Kinsler, JD Martinez, Justin Haley, and Brasier, and he also loved Lin, and that’s why he bought 5, 28, 65, 70 and 5 for his Mega Millions ticket (and threw in 62 for the Betts and Holt combo), and I wouldn’t be surprised‬

this was a really fun game. Kershaw & Sale were both a wash, but we managed to stay out in front enough all night and finally put it away in the 7th. we responded to their 1 run spurts pretty much immediately all night, similar to game 4 of ALCS.

lot of BABIP cheap hits on both sides. tiny zone. definitely hurt Sale more than Kershaw.

You know... when you have a chance to win a championship guys like Nunie get a chance to say, “Suck it, haters.” He sealed win 1 tonight. 3 left. Bullpen was nails too.

Unlikeliest heroes really win championships in this day and age. Probably always have.

The Yankees had no holes in their lineup, legendary power, and an all-time shutdown bullpen.
The Astros were a perfect team.

Meanwhile, the Sox are 8-2 in the playoffs so far.

If you’re not watching postgame on fs1, go now. Lots of arod and Papi chants behind the postgame crew on landsdowne.

A-Rod saying Baez was dominant against lefties too.

Nunez crushing a ball was a top 10 percentile outcome but am definitely agreeing more that Roberts overmanaged, which is apparently his flaw.

Extremely noticeable after last series where you had to hold your breath with every ball in play like watching a nice NFL touchdown and waiting for the inevitable flag.

Reynolds and Pedro killing Roberts for his lineup and various moves. They want him to just play their best players and less matching up.

also used generic phrasing like "Devers is really good against righties" and "was comfortable with Nunez coming in cold off the bench" (paraphrasing that second one).
