That was a really interesting read and visual progression to an awesome finished product, thanks for that. A friend just so happens to own a t-shirt printing business. I'm going to see if he can turn a couple around for me and my friends before Saturday. I'll be ordering one from you as well.

Edit to add: Looking through the files, it doesn't seem to have one of simply the crest in blue without the red background. I know nothing about screen printing but just curious how I can put it on a shirt without having that red frame there.

Awesome. You'll want to point your friend to the .eps or .ai file - those contain basic vector renderings that he should be able to reproduce in any ink color.

Great work as always D9. One question about the design - with your appreciation of simplicity, why did you opt for more ornamentation on the two ends of the banner? Also, I love the roman numerals and the mark honoring our military services. The mark looks great in 2-tone!

Thank you Zo. The banner and the slight bit of ornamentation is a nod to the bit of traditional flourish I felt the crest should have.  I like simple but I didn't want it to come off as a minimalist exercise.  I tried a few different ideas and that seemed to feel right.  I definitely tried to make something that would work in one, two or multiple colors - so glad to get that feedback!

Hey thanks, guys! SoSH has paved the way for a lot of this - through feedback, support, and even friendly introductions to good people to know (like, for instance, Paul at Uni-Watch).

It's been a good rollout so far - excited to see where this goes.

Kind of a tangent/bump: for the past couple weeks I’ve been trying an experiment in Slack (the group messaging app). I invited folks that know & enjoy the work I do at Clean Sheet Co. to join up and talk soccer+design+whatever else. It’s been pretty cool so far, posting links, judging new jerseys, USMNT stuff, etc. Chatting about the Copa / Euro matches live has been a highlight. If any SoSH folks are interested in dropping by, you’re more than welcome and would certainly add to the discourse. You can sign up here: http://cleansheet.co/insider (We’ve got a Euro QF pick-em game going on right now, winner gets to chose the next State design we make.)

I hope this isn't too self-indulgent but the conversation here is fantastic so it seemed like a good fit.
