If the show today is 4 hours of Felger gleefully dancing over Moss' grave because of how bad he was yesterday then I won't be listening. At this point "The Big Show" has been the better choice after games like yesterday now that they have put the pom poms down. F&M have been a one trick pony and haven't provided the alternative that I had hoped. I still think they have a better overall show but Felger lays it on a little too thick sometimes.
Ordway always said he wouldn't change his show until he got competition, I wonder if putting the pom poms down is a result of Felger and Mazz and trying to remain relevant.
I was thinking this exact same thing today, and though Moss certainly deserves criticism, I wasn't in the mood for 4 hours of harping on it either.
But you know, after being exposed to another way to do afternoon drive for a couple of months, I just couldn't bring myself to keep the dial to 850. I don't like the style of radio on "The Big Show."
I like how an idiotic caller on Felger and Mazz gets cut off in 30 seconds, and they move on like nothing happened. Whereas on "The Big Show," the caller is berated with questions by Pete and Glenn and the rest of the segment is themed around the moronic "previous caller." Sorry, but I want the hosts to drive the show, not the "previous caller."
And again, with Felger and Mazz able to switch between football and baseball, there was some Lackey conversation as well.
So I guess my point is, I just don't like the style of radio of "The Big Show." Really, it would take a lot to get me to switch back now. But I could very well be in the minority.
