Here
Burrows is such a loser. Dangerous hit and then seek out the smallest guy on the ice to avoid an ass-beating.

Winnipeg fans getting more excited for literally one playoff game makes me want to laugh in the face of Bruins fans who think the playoffs are a rite of passage. Good for them, and good for hockey.

Although the white out concept works much better when the home team wears white.

Is Bruce Boudreau the only guy in Winnipeg with a sunburn right now?

Yeah, this is a bit weird
You don't want fans to wear dark because the players will lose pucks off the glass.  I imagine it's weird optics for the goalies as well but they're goalies so everything's weird about them.

The Island
I just watched the two Winnipeg goals. I know I'm pretty much the only one here carrying a torch of any kind for the team, but the playoffs are better just from a crowd/atmosphere perspective with them in it.

Andersen did a great job of making himself big on that Little shot.  Not a ton of space to find an opening, at least for Brian Little.

Or that will happen because this is the only series I give a shit about.

It's a shame Giordano got hurt. These Flames are fun to watch, but they're not good enough to go all the way barring some ridiculous luck. They would have had an outside shot with him.

Love Backlund too. He's a poor man's Bergeron.

Their goaltending is a massive question mark but if that holds up Chicago is going to win it all again IMO.  Too much depth at forward and defense.

Not so much on defense, I don't think. Rosival played okay, but that's the exception, and Kimonnen doesn't look as though he'll be able to make an impact. They do have four really solid guys, who can handle a lot of minutes. That's close to the same outcome as depth, though the OTs scare me.

Depth at forward?  It's unreal. Even the weak spots -- Bickell, who seems to shine in the playoffs, Versteeg, who seems to play well with Kane, Shaw, who is much better as a wing than as a center. Without Weber and Fisher, it's probably too much to over come. Richards may be a bit weak as the number 2 center, but he's got Kane on his wing. And the third line is Vermette, Sharp and Bickell. All have had struggles this season, but that's a tough third line. Just imagine if Q were willing to bench either Versteeg or Shaw to get Teravainen on the ice.

Minnesota might be a bad match-up, but I'd prefer them to St. Louis. The Blues may have finally figured Chicago out.

From the couple of Blues fans I know, let's just say them being pessimistic is kind. Might have to only let my buddy wear belt-less pants and lace-less kicks for the next couple weeks.

Has a Boudreau team ever swept in the playoffs? The Ducks are 4 minutes away.
That was his first sweep.

He's 0-3 in second round series, 6-12 in 2nd round games. If ever there was a year for him to get to the conference finals, this is it. Winnipeg followed by Calgary or Vancouver. I really think Anaheim is 4th or 5th best out West, but they got the easy draw with the Pacific having a bad year.

3 of his 6 second round wins came last year against LA. Anaheim was up 3-2 in that series before losing.
