The first round is always the best. The intensity is so high and the games are so close(unlike the NBA first round) and there are so many games every day. It's a cornucopia of hockey.

I can't remember a game where the camera was so obstructed by the back of fans' heads and arms
I've actually sat in the area of this camera position. The camera is placed at the top row of a club-level section and isn't up on any kind of riser or platform (probably so it doesn't block the suites right behind it). They might kill the two seats directly in front of the camera, but that's it. They're $150-250 seats in an all-inclusive area.

What should happen is the network buys seats around the camera position and the venue relocates them to comparable seating at the network's cost. I've done this at the venues I work at for other sporting events when cameras are added.

If St. Louis gets one more goal, Chicago will get two.

In the next round, they should mic the guys in those seats up and allow viewers to choose them over the network announcers via the SAP function - go all Mystery Science Theater 3000 on the playoffs!

For me, the first round of the NHL playoffs is basically like the first couple of days of March Madness for someone who likes basketball... except stretched out over 2 weeks that make teams hate each by the end of it. It is simply awesome.

I also kind of agree with the guy who hates Dave Kerpen that the B's NOT being in makes it a lot more relaxing, but I'm not so sure I would go so far as to say I enjoy it more. Though my blood pressure surely does.
