Great call. The 1996 team may have been the only team to ever have four former MVPs on the same squad. Mitchell, Canseco, Vaughn and Clemens.

Let me ask you a question, Ramirez said. Im 41 years old and youre asking me if I could still hit the way I used to hit. Nobody is going to hit like when they were 25, 27 or 30 when theyre 41 years old. I dont care how good you are. Its not going to happen. But you can contribute in other ways.
This is interesting from a guy who couldn't ever contribute in other ways, and certainly not at 41.

My bad, I didn't realize this was a during your lifetime thing. I have a picture somewhere of Ricky Henderson and Manny Ramirez walking out of the SkyDome together. Henderson was wearing some kind of a Hawaiian print with palm trees on it. They walked as fast as they could by the fans waiting for autographs and got in the same car as some middle reliever was practically begging to give away his autograph.

As for during my lifetime:

Ricky's friend!

I remember being hopeful that these two would have been able to contribute at the big league level, but both never made out of Pawtucket. Still weird to see Prior and Delgado in the gear though.

Fun thread!

My first thought was Otis Nixon:

Mostly because I think I had about a thousand of these baseballs cards:

In fact, I think there was about a decade where I got nothing in packs of cards except Otis as an Expo or Brave.

Jose Offerman, Quilvio Veras, Rey Sanchez, and Carlos Baerga.  Never has so much second base suck been captured in one photograph.
