Well, what do you know, Chelsea with a nice 3-1 lead. ManU with the goose, down 0-2 to Norwich City.

ManU down 2-1, I think they realize if they don't try hard, their manager will be fired.

Chung Young Lee had a beautiful goal for Palace to win it. He's been the player that I've always scratched my head about when he would come on as a replacement. Pulls Palace even on points with Man U and Tottenham with 29. jkempa is happy this morning.

Newcastle and Villa playing in a downpour. Pitch is getting waterlogged, game may be abandoned.

So I just saw that Swansea want Beielsa. That would be a huge coup for them. Hopefully he's going to hold out for that USMNT job.

Bogdan was horribly positioned on the second.

Hate to say it, but a healthy Migs and this is a totally different story.

West ham minus all their attacking players vs Swansea in the rain does not make for attractive soccer.

Good stuff from the Arsenal so far. I thought City was slightly better up until the De Bruyne chance, although neither team created much and the match was pretty tight and tactical. Arsenal have been on top since the first goal.

I think we'll get an exciting second half. City will pour forward with their ample firepower and Arsenal will have chances on the break. I'll be interested to see how long Aguero plays. He has looked a bit off the pace (with the exception of that sublime ball to spring De Bruyne) and he hasn't played 90 minutes in ages.

Ramsey's had a rough day at the office so far.
I dunno, he's been everywhere on the field and contrary to the announcer's opinions, I think he's been excellent at choosing when to go forward and when to stay back. He hasn't produced a goal yet, but thankfully Giroud and Walcott have.

Ox in for Ozil. What a game for the German - 2 more assists but an amazing defensive effort that included four tackles and an interception.

It was less his positioning (I'm fine with him getting forward, he excels at it), i thought his pass selection and execution has been lacking and missing the goal hurt too.

Huge win - a bit nervy there for about 10 minutes after Yaya's goal but the last 5+ minutes were clinical and effective. Outstanding effort team-wide.

Big win for the Arsenal. Amazing goal from Yaya, who basically farted around all game and then produced a moment of brilliance and almost rescued a point.

I thought we played hard and played very well tactically. But once Ozil was off, we really lost our ability to control the game, since we have no other healthy midfielders that can play keepaway and calm the team down in possession. Our bench is thin as hell right now. I have no idea how we'll line up during these next couple games given the compactness of the schedule. But we have the easiest Festive period fixture list among clubs at the top of the table so this is a great opportunity for us, if our players don't just completely run out of gas.
