Just horrible. They actually had a worse angle at the 42 FG than the 47 FGcanderson said:Ole Miss sends Wallace back out who promptly throws a pick. Down goes #3.
Horrible play there.
with the college rules, and score, it was a smart play if he thought he lost the WR and a TD possibleDomer said:What a horrendous series of plays: a dumb-assed pass interference, delay of game, throwing a jump ball short of the end zone.
Putting the offense back on the field with 0:09 seconds left was a good decision, but that throw was anything but.Dan to Theo to Ben said:with the college rules, and score, it was a smart play if he thought he lost the WR and a TD possible
I beg to differ; Ohio State losing any night is tremendous.Dgilpin said:Ohio st losing tonight would be tremendous

The woman in red crying was great. Wish it wasn't Ole Miss.twibnotes said:@NotGorgeousAl: Nothing says SEC upset like shots of stunned, rich white guys in polos
That's a products liability lawsuit if I ever saw one.McBride11 said:Great drive from LSU. Ole Miss in trouble with their offense not showing much.
And what the hell, the defender ripping the face mask off the helmet, that's incredible.
Would be nice (they beat bama, bama beats everyone else, but Miss St won't lose to vandy or Arky)shawnrbu said:How awesome would it be if Les Miles somehow wins the SEC West?
with zero TO's, a hothead QB, and a 47 YD for a kicker who made 50's pregame, I disagree.Domer said:Putting the offense back on the field with 0:09 seconds left was a good decision, but that throw was anything but.
I get the impression Donovan is a shitty playcaller.Fred in Lynn said:Why oh why don't they throw those quick slants all the time? I really miss BOB's play calling.

I see what you're saying, but confidence is key, and kickers are pretty smart they pick up on this. If it's a 55YD/out or on edge of range, that's one thing.Infield Infidel said:
I never trust a college kicker with a long kick with the pressure on. If you have a chance to make the kick shorter or go for the end zone, and still have another down in your back pocket, there's nothing wrong with running a play on 3rd.
Ole Miss has to maximize their chances at winning the game. If you got two downs, use them. If they kick on 3rd and miss, they wasted a chance for a closer kick. Nothing wrong with taking a go on third down, since they can kick on 4th if it's incomplete, or if it's a quick first down pass they can spike it then kick. 9 seconds is plenty of time. The pass was just dumb. The QB is the only issue there, throwing a bad pass instead of throwing it out of bounds or to a guy just passed the 1st down. I mean, if you roll out, you are automatically out of the tackle box so there's no chance at intentional grounding. With the rollout, the only things that could have gone wrong was that pass, or anything short of the 1st down marker.
I don't blame the coach for the bad pass. I do blame the coach for the delay of game.
