Really bad flag against the Jets on a pretty clean hit. It looked bad, but it wasn't. Led with shoulder. Gets a PF penalty.

At least the Jets only blew a 7 point lead this week. That's progress. Mr. self sabotage taking a sack in FG range went as expected.

My god, absolute dogshit right out of the gate.

Thomas burned deep.

Offense 3 and out

Sherman burned downfield.

I thought Houston was supposed to be the fucked up team this week.

Any news on Texans pre-game showing? I missed
They just talked about it on Red Zone. A majority of players took a knee during the anthem. Apparently no player took a knee earlier in the season out of respect to McNair. So their kneeling was a protest to McNair. I guess?

I support their gesture; but at this point the story is going to continue to be the players disrespecting the anthem and people who are upset about that will only see that and won't care that it was because their owner was being an asshole and compared them to prisoners.

If the goal is to get people who are ignorant to your cause to acknowledge your plight, then at this stage of the game I don't know how productive the anthem protests are going to be. I would guess a majority of the population that would be unsympathetic towards the players for McNair's comments, already has made up their minds that anything leading to an anthem protest is offensive and not worthy of further consideration.

Yeah, there was a suggestion yesterday that they would all remove their Texans helmet decals. I thought that was an interesting idea since it would be a specific protest against the owner and wouldn't get caught up in the "disrespecting the anthem" issue.

Kliq, do you think the majority of the population will acknowledge their plight if they protest in a different manner?

This might be the dumbest thing I've ever read in my life.

Watson gives exactly zero fucks. Richard Sherman? Don't care.

And BOB going on fourth and short? Houston is for real.

The Jason Witten hold (I) could not have been more clear and (II) directly impacted the Dez run and catch.

But yeah, red, let's argue the shit out of it anyway.

For the record; I'm not talking about the majority of the population in general, just the people who are strongly against the anthem protests. I certainly think that it's possible that if the players decided to protest in a different, non-anthem way, that people who want to deny the reality of the protesters' situation would come up with a contrived reason to dismiss what the protesters are trying to communicate. At this point, it has been almost proven unfortunately that all anthem protests are going to be viewed under the same lense for some people; that the players will be "unpatriotic" and that they should shut up and start standing, regardless of the reason for why they are standing.

I don't feel like, super strongly about this FWIW; just that at this point there may be a more effective way to communicate the players feelings. However, as discussed, maybe it would have the same result regardless of method.
