It wasn't pretty, but the Pats managed to get out of Tampa with a win last Thursday night setting up a match-up of co-division leaders this coming Sunday in the swamp in New Jersey. Yes, you heard that right, the frisky New York Jets, everyone's pre-season pick to be historically bad, come into the game on Sunday with a 3-2 record, equal to the Pats and Bills at the top of the AFC East. It is tough to say whether the Jets are actually a mediocre team as opposed to horrible, or whether they have just managed to squeak out wins against three pretty bad teams (Jacksonville and Miami at home, Browns in Cleveland). But if the Pats actually have designs on another Division Title and a bye, this is a game they have to win. The Pats D looked better in Tampa although Winston seemed to miss a ton of easy throws. The Jets have zero skill players on offense, so hopefully this is another week where the D can gain some confidence. On offense, all eyes will be on the injury report to see if Gronk will be able to be on the field. The offense struggled at times without him in Tampa.
