Smith still looks overmatched when put in must-throw situations. Good qb, but...

Good bye football until Thursday night. Prime time games again suck, unless you want to watch Giants' execution.

You say that like people wouldn't want to see a New York team get humiliated.

Here
Every week we moan about the Patriots defense. Then we all feel better after watching the late games.
These two teams have much, much better defenses, so I don't feel super happy watching them.

Now we hope KC and the rest of the West beat each other up and maybe they end up 11-5 and the Pats 12-4 with some real luck. Game at Pitt later this year is gonna be yuge.

Sunday night game is worth it for the crowd shots of salty NY sports fans alone. Hasn't been the best weekend for those fine folks.

The NFL right now is a bunch of mediocre and inconsistent teams. I don't buy Philly as a great team for one moment and KC is definitely not either. Every good team seems to play well and follow it up with bad performance. The league is unpredictable right now but the quality of football is sadly pretty low as well.

Been like this for a while but at least this year is exciting.

Are the Giants on prime time every fucking week?
Best laid plans ...

Take second place to no one here in Giants hatred. Esp Mara.

If I watch Joe Maddon lose, no downside. Giants likely to be battling with Cleveland for the 1/1. Even if they finish 2, they are getting a QB. Probably a good one.

Alternatively it could mean every team is pretty good, so you have to bring your best every week or you will lose if you're not playing Cleveland, SF, or the Giants.

I thought of that as well, but the QB play has really been poor for the most part and that is what is sticking out. Lots of injuries in the league as well to big name players which is certainly contributing.

I'll be there. I'm 3-1 so far in Pitt

There is tremendous, almost inexplicable variance. Can you make a case for Steelers losing to Jax at home? Probably. Can you make a sense for them getting annihilated? No.

And while the post-game CBS crew were wiping their chins after today's performance, they should probably have remembered that the Steelers lost to the Bears.

The Broncos' blue jerseys are awesome. Why the hell did they switch to those terrible orange ones?

looks like he was down and the ground caused the fumble. kudos for collinsworth for getting it immediately.

i checked the score for a little NYG schadenfreude, but would happily take a DEN loss for AFC seeding purposes as well.
