Where it rains. No, seriously.
Everyone gets that you just need a QB who is simply adequate to keep your job in the league, no? Why would you even consider swapping out Dalton or Stafford or Cutler or whomever...you are still way better off than half the league.

Because you're better off sucking for Luck than being a slightly above average team for 7 years? Unless you can put together an all world defense.

The "keeping your job in the league" was a key component to my comment. Marvin Lewis is happier than a pig in shit, he is just hoping that the stars align a bit.

Steve Young on the pregame tonight: "Rodgers is one of the best at doing the most while having the least. Second only to Tom Brady."

Ray Lewis follows up with thinking Young , Favre, Rodgers are the 3 best because they could run.

Remember that play yesterday when Brady threw it into the ground rather than fall for two yards? Kind of bolsters the Shivists point. Not that I agree with it but, ok.

I thought he just wanted fast people in his posse so they could run away faster next time and not get caught.

I remember James Jones couldn't hang on with the Raiders but didn't someone else try him out before he went back to the Packers?

Like, 30 men in the box. Alex has to friggin' throw.

And another predictable result.

Even the currently noddle-armed Peyton gets more downfield respect than Alex Smith...

Yeah GB is gonna be the one seed and it is gonna be damn hard to beat them. Pats-Pack for the title would be an epic game

This was the matchup SoSH seemed more worried about last year. Would have been nice facing Rodgers with Revis an Browner... But let's not count our chickens quite yet.

In the mean time I'm off to that paper tiger thread for the Chiefs.

On these quick snaps to get 12 men, the offensive line and WR are not getting set before the ball snap. Should be an illegal formation or false start on the offense.

Hard to score on a 2 minute drill when you don't throw it.  This play calling is awesome down 17... Three runs and 1 throw with only one TO and 30 or so seconds from the 20?  And then Smith runs not knowing that the clock will run out?  Nice.

How much can you really blame the receivers when you have a QB who is literally afraid to throw more than five yards downfield if he sees a defender within ten yards of his target?

Genius doesn't even get a throw off. He is Andy Reid's dream QB.

Thought for this game: as if this mismatch wasn't big enough, Rodgers has the Smith was picked #1 and I was picked 24th or something. He remembers that like Brady remembers going 199th.

I though I heard on the drive home that the line on this game was around 6. Is that right?

Go f*ck yourself
What was it about Andy Reid that at one time made him what some claim to be a very good coach?

The over all preparedness of his team tonight, the play calling, that jackass jogging off the field 2x getting nailed for 12 men on the field. All signs of a piss poorly coached squad.

I just watched the halftime highlight show on MNF for the first time in forever.

I am struggling to describe how awful Chris Berman was in going through the highlights.  Like watching an old, incoherent drunk stumble around for three minutes.  I mean, they could have propped up the corpse of Howard Cosell and he would have been better.  Then Mort joined him to discuss various things and it actually got worse.  Was like watching two old drunks stumble around ranting at each other.

I am stunned that ESPN has these two poorly-trained monkeys doing halftime.
