During the Rutgers-Penn State game, I'm wondering if the announcers will bring up the 1995 blowout (PSU 59 - RU 34), where one backup QB Mike McQueary came in late and threw a TD to cover the 18-point spread?  What's that you say?  Rumors have abounded regarding MMcQ's gambling habit, and there has been much speculation that he called the play himself, without JoPa's knowledge, to cover a bet he had made.  The traditional post-game handshake was..well, chilly to say the least.  I would really like to know what Graber said to Joe, because it obviously set the old man off.  It was actually quite hilarious to watch at the time.  I think Joe had to say 10 Hail Mary's at confession the next day for his language on public TV.

Baylor freshman WR, KD Cannon is going to be a household name, folks.  Last week, he went off for 6 catches, 223 yards and 3 td's in the first half.  He just caught an 89 yard bomb on their second series of the game. That gets him to 9 catches, 371 yards and 5td's through basically a scrap over 4 quarters of work in his college career.  Score is 14-0.

Meanwhile, Buffalo had a chance to tie the game at 7-7 when the Baylor defense bit hard on a play action fake, and Buffalo had a receiver about 30 yards behind the defense and he dropped the pass.  Would have waltzed in for about an 80 yard td.  I'm just hopeful that Buffalo can score a couple points to keep this a game long enough to keep the starters playing for Baylor.

Whoops. 28-0 beginning of 2nd quarter. Baylor will score as many points as they want with the Buffalo secondary giving Baylor receivers 20-yard cushions.

Cannon ended up with 5 catches for 171 yards and a td in the first half.  Over his last 4 quarters, that's 11 catches, 394 yards and 4td's.  Umm, wow.  Freshman.  Baylor leading 35-0, nobody playing at this point and the only interest anyone has is whether or not Baylor will cover the 43 point spread or whatever it was.

Meanwhile, the other game tonight has been pretty fun.  Cincinatti jumped out to a 41-14 halftime lead over Toledo.  Toledo then scored 20 unanswered to open the second half to get it to 41-34.  Cincinatti has now scored 10 straight to get the lead back out to 51-35, with 8 and a half minutes left.

I went to this game. Watching Baylor live is surreal. The first half, it was like Buffalo played a quarter and Baylor played a whole game.

The Ultimate Beamer (TM) would be beating OSU on the road then coming home and laying an egg against ECU.

Georgia Southern with 20 unanswered in the 3rd to get it to 35-30 going into the fourth against Georgia Tech.  Crazy game.

Speaking of crazy games, West Virginia/Maryland has been all sorts of nuts.  WV just blocked a punt for a safety to go back up 30-27.  They were stomping on Maryland throughout the first half.  Trickett has 384 yards passing, and there are still over 6 minutes left in the third.

Vandy ran back a fumble for TD after a QB scramble, but it's being reviewed. UMass QB tried to slide, but took a big hit. He needs to practice some baseball slides. Get down!

Reversed!

Things stabilizing for WVU. Up 10 going to the fourth with a 37-27 lead. It's been a game of big plays. Some great TD catches both ways. Trickett having a day.

If the Hokies get back in this game, ECU has nobody to blame but themselves.  I have no idea why they aren't slowing it down and taking time off the clock.  11 minutes to go, up by 14 and they are running plays with 25 seconds left on the play clock, running out of bounds, throwing incompletions.  This drive will probably take 2-3 minutes off the clock, when it should have been 6-7 minutes at least.

OMG.  That might have been the worst play I've ever seen by a punt coverage team.  Punter hits the absolute perfect punt, bounces at the 1 backwards, and 6 guys from ECU bat it around and end up knocking it into the end zone.  If nobody touched it, it would have died inside the five on it's own.  Absolutely fucking terrible.  You have to see that one to believe it.

Damn, Georgia Tech gets a td with 20 seconds left to go up by 4 against Georgia Southern.  Really thought Southern was going to pull that off.  Crushing loss.

Hokies get a TD on the drive following the fuck up on punt coverage by East Carolina.  21-14.  There should be about a minute left in this game, but East Carolina has completely fucked this up.  About 6 and a half minutes left.  Plenty of time for Hokies to get the ball back, and there shouldn't be.  East Carolina has played this quarter like it was the first quarter, instead of with a two touchdown lead.

Uva gets pick in red zone only to be assessed a questionable roughing the passer penalty. Louisville scores a touchdown to take one point lead late

Crazy play - UMass CB had a INT, but the Vandy WR grabbed the ball so it was simultaneous possession as they landed, and then the WR rested the ball away. Vandy TD one play later, up 34-31

The targeting rules are still totally not applied uniformly. UMass guy got absolutely helmet-to-helmeted on a catch and no call, both guys very slow to get up. Earlier, a UMass guy was ejected on a pretty innocuous play.

I hope the Hokies win this game.  ECU deserves to lose.  They've literally done everything they can to give it away.

Hokies TD.  Good.

UVA in the victory formation.  Knocks off Louisville with a late FG.

Indiana gives up a td with 9 seconds left.  Looks like they are going to lose to Bowling Green 45-42.  Teams combined for 61 points in the second half.

Wow. ECU plays three good series in the first quarter and then basically shuts down for the rest of the game.

Edit - then comes alive again for the last drive with under a minute to go, taking the lead 28-21 with 0:16 to go.
