Brady went right up to Walt Coleman in his final game. Very classy move.

Hahaha. I can’t believe they fumbled on their last play. Wait. I can. I totally can.

I think this is right. I think the Steelers beat them and I think the Colts are a coin toss to beat them.

You don't usually see the Head Coach sit during a game.

Anyone else see the a-hole on ESPN pregame show who was rooting openly for Jets? It was at the end of the show, after a piece on how the Bengals 4-and-12-ed the Ravens our of the playoffs last year.

    Who was that?

500 regular season wins - tops amongst original AFL teams...Colts certainly don't have more since 1960 (I assume). Do the Steelers? Also, I would guess that as of 2000 they were pretty close to last in total wins.

I was not overly impressed with Darnold. This was my first exposure to him in the NFL but I thought he lacked pocket presence (the sack by Guy should not have happened) and his delivery looks a little long at times.
Maybe just an off day playing a meaningless game with a lame duck coach and without a few big weapons but that’s just how I saw it.

Baker is 2 years older than Sammy (not that you compared them only to point out youth). Sam is the least of my worries.

All things considered, and coming off a super bowl loss, this does not feel like a disappointing season to me. Trying at times, but I think this team is excellent position to advance to the AFCCG, at least. I don’t care how much success we’ve had, that’s still a very good season. Bring on the tournament.

I saw similar, plus his long throwing motion needs work. He's still only 21, though.

Hahaha. All those years I just wanted them to squeak into the playoffs because even one more week of Patriots football was a rare gift. Now there is some question as to whether earning a bye week is a very good season.

Steelers at 627 overall....doing some quick math they had 111 before 1960, so they're at 516.

    Colts at 474 since 1960.

You said it. One more win & we are playing for a chance to go to the super bowl. Again. Truly amazing.

For sure. I think I may have even uttered the sentence "If we can just squeeze one more good year out of Nellie... who knows?" way back when.
For a #2 seed in the AFC to be a down year really says how dominant they have been.

I was the opposite. He looks like he has “it”. He makes some great throws and is composed for a 21 year old. Zolak loved him on the radio call.

I’m not saying he’s going to the Hall but I believe he is going to be the best QB in the AFC East outside of Brady in about 20 years.

    From Peter King:

    2. I think it was a cool move by the Patriots, treating retiring ref Walt Coleman royally with an announcement in-stadium before the game, the awarding of a game ball by Robert Kraft to Coleman after the game, and Tom Brady seeking out Coleman after the game to congratulate him on his long career in officiating. The Patriots have every reason to love Coleman; he was the ref in the infamous Tuck Rule Game in the Patriots’ first Super Bowl season under Kraft-Belichick in 2001. But this wasn’t about that. It was about respect for long and meritorious service. “I told him congratulations on an incredible career,” Brady said Sunday night. “He had a lot of people finding him to congratulate him. A lot of mutual respect from his fellow referees players and coaches. He was a great referee.”
