Huh. Guess I'm not as up on the ages of former teen stars as you.

Got to give FSU credit.   This is the best game they've played all season

Or the capabilities of Google I guess, I assumed she was forty. Being 38 was a surprise to me.

Baylor with the interception to seal it.

I have grown to hate that Santa clause and the 8 year off child who wants a Ford so much.  Never saw it before tonight, but by now it is nails on the chalkboard for me

Maybe I'm biased because I'm an FSU alum but you really want a team that hasn't lost (if they hold on) in 2 years out because of style points?

It's not gonna happen. And TCU being above them is a pretty solid indicator that they aren't going anywhere, either.

If they aren't one of the 4 best teams, then yes.  I don't care about last year.
There is no way an undefeated team from a Power 5 conference is missing the playoff. None.

FSU is walking away with the conference that the team that beat Ohio State was never close to winning. There is no fucking way Ohio State gets in above FSU, nor should they.

OSU lost to a 6-6 Virginia Tech team at home. They have no business being in the playoff.

Jameis' rookie year in the NFL is going to be awesome.  No way he gets away with that constant jawing with veterans.  I bet Nick Mangold is going shake him by Week 2.

Second game of the year after losing their Heisman candidate QB?
So what. Ohio State has way more talent than VT. TCU's only loss is on the road to Baylor likely to be the co-champion. That is more impressive than losing at home to a terrible Tech team.

Why on earth is FSU not calling a timeout.  Clearly this kid needs to get off the field.

Maybe I'm off base, but jumping a slot while non of the top four lose? I'm admittedly a very casual fan.

If you take that approach, you've turned football into figure skating (granted, the BCS was largely there, but we're supposed to be making progress away from that).  The records (in full context) are what matters, not a beauty pageant where the Russian judge guesses who he thinks is better.  And sports championships about actual accomplishments on actual fields, not true talent levels or who'd win in a mythical 100% even context.

Like a VaTech kind of team?

Or at least beat the patsy they scheduled

It sucks for them that VT was an awful football team this year, but they lost to that awful football team

The ACC and B1G are weaker than the other power-five conferences -- you basically have to run the table to finish in the top four coming from one of those conferences. I think that's what the committee has been communicating by keeping FSU lower than they've been in the traditional polls.

Prediction: TCU drops out. FSU moves to #3, Ohio State takes #4.

Typical/historical polling conventions don't matter to this committee, as they showed by needlessly and inexplicably bumping TCU to #3 last week. I assume they'd just as soon drop the Frogs out altogether.

Tech has been a down program for a few years now. That isn't a top program anymore. Ohio State needs to schedule someone from the SEC and prove they can beat them.

Yup, that just makes it worse.

Killing Wisconsin is impressive but not nearly enough in my book.

I hope not. TCU has done nothing wrong to drop out. They have a better resume than OSU In my mind.

Sugar

or

I think number 1 is more likely.

Next year, they return the VT game and play W Michigan, Northern IL, and an awful Hawaii team
2016-Oklahoma, Bowling Green Tulsa
2017-for now, Oklahoma and UNLV
2018--Oregon State and TCU

ESPN has seemed to quickly get in line behind the screw the big 12 because they don't have a title game meme.

I suspect they will pull the screw job.

As it sort of doesn't matter once you get into the top 4.    I suspect we end up with

Sugar Bowl
Alabama vs FSU

Rose Bowl
Ohio St  vs Oregon.

Yeah, the Big 12 is significantly better than the B1G, even if the perception isn't there because this year's elite teams aren't the conference's big names. If anyone's got a gripe with the presumptive top four, it's Baylor, not tOSU.

As impressive as OSU has been tonight, nobody in the top 4 deserves to get bumped.

If life were fair they'd just be shit out of luck.

But I get the feeling TCU is going to get screwed.
