Wow,   FSU is making every mistake possible to give this game to BC.   The dropped passes, turnovers, dump penalties,  etc.    They (FSU) should be up at least 17 already

Do the networks coordinate their commercial breaks? Trying to switch to other games from BC during commercials always seems to result in switching to a commercial.

UNH goes for it on 4th and goal again. It succeeds. And, in a turn of events, they go for the XP. It fails. 20-6 UNH.

UNH cannot kick off more than 45 yards, can't kick FGs, and can't kick XPs. Going to be hard to get to Texas if they can't kick.

I'm coming around to the belief that even if they do pull this out, and somehow survive the last few games. FSU has no business being in the championship tournament

3 bad coaching downs right there IMHO

May have outsmarted himself on second considering they had destroyed the FSU front 7 on that drive,  but it was open briefly

Should have gone for it on 4th and 8. Better chance than making a 42 yarder.
knoll hit from 40 earlier then he went with howell who has no accuracy from 42

Why did BC not let them score with a minute left and the ball inside the 20? DUMB DUMB DUMB

the odds of the FSU kicker missing the FG are greater than the odds of BC going 80 yards in less than a minute

I suspect it was a matter of hashmarks.   Had it been on the other hashmark it would have been Knoll again.

And lets not pretend Knoll is a good kicker

FSU should go undefeated and still not be in the playoffs.

I have defended them all year, but yeah I am in this boat.

Admittedly if FSU catches the ball today this is a 2-3 TD win for FSU,  but they didn't.   This is just another black mark on the FSU resume, as they have snuck through a pretty lousy schedule, in what was a Terrible ACC this year

FSU's kicker is 40-42 the past two seasons. Best kicker in the nation.

It was raining, though, right?

Well, if it's worth anything he was the #2 kicking prospect this year.  I don't know if we really know if he's good or not because of how little he's been used, but if he's not better than Alex Howell then they probably shouldn't have bothered recruiting him, Howell's accuracy is horrible.

I say it every week, but I disagree with everyone giving FSU shit.  All that matters is wins.  They win.  They win ugly.  If winning by large margins and looking good doing so were what mattered, the New England Patriots don't deserve the 2001 Super Bowl.  At some point, folks will realize that it's really hard to win every week, week in and week out.  FSU lost 13 of their starting 22 players to the NFL last year, and they are still 11-0.  I don't care what the games look like, only what, Marshall University, can say the same thing right now?  Yeah, they aren't playing the SEC schedule, but they don't control who is in their conference.  Do I think Bama and maybe Oregon are better than they are, and will likely beat them in the playoffs?  Sure, but until they lose, they absolutely deserve to be in the playoffs.

BigMike, I also disagree that the chances of their kicker missing from inside 40 yards was greater than BC going 80 yards.  Coming into tonight, he had not missed a single kick inside 50 yards in his college career.   He just missed a 42 yarder earlier in the game, but I think the chances of him missing again were about 1000 to 1, assuming the snap was good.  The odds of BC going the distance were probably just as tiny, but at least, they would have had a chance.  Barring a bad snap on the field goal try, the guy wasn't missing and BC had no chance of winning because the clock expired.  I wish more teams would take the chance and let the opponent score, and I think that situation screamed for it.

If I'm a fan of a playoff team, I'm rooting big time for FSU because they are going to destroyed in the first playoff game. Assuming FSU remains #3, Oregon should hope they end up as #2 instead of #1.

Maine has pulled to within 8. Forces UNH to punt late in the 4th. UNH's punter takes a dive (was never touched) and the ref throws a flag. Calls a PF for roughing the kicker. HAHA. UNH first and 10.
