#Orioles have not internal talks about acquiring Cespedes, per source. Good player but no true discussions with #Redsox

Looking at Miley's splits, he's been better on the road then at home.  Maybe the Sox think a change of scenery will do him good.
Chase field is a notable hitter's park. Other NL West parks are mostly very pitcher-friendly (LAD, SFG, SD), except for Coors.

“@keithlaw: Couple of execs told me that they think the Mariners have soured on Taijuan Walker’s makeup, in part due to his behavior in the AFL.”

The guy was born in August 1992.  He'll still be 22 at the All Star break next year.  Sure, some investigation is needed.  But assuming you don't find out the kid's Hal Chase or Dick Allen or . . . I'm not sure who, you'd have to be interested in acquiring him.

General manager Doug Melvin did say his group actually met in person with another team for the first and only time of the meetings -- at the other team's request -- but said it did not lead to a percolating deal.

The team might have been Boston, which is shopping first baseman/outfielder Allen Craig. The Red Sox are looking for starting pitching, and Melvin has said if he dealt a starter he'd want a player for both now and the future. Craig is signed through 2017 with $26.5 million remaining on his contract and a club option for $13 million in 2018.
