They will just not go away.  I thought that 3 by Hancock was going to be the dagger and it was going to be over, and they come right down and get the hoop.  Missed fucking free throw though.

San Diego State may very well blow this game by slowing it down and passing up constant open looks, and then settling for a poor shots as the clock winds down.  They could have put their foot on the throats of the Aggies repeatedly and just kept passing the ball around.  Lead is now back down to 5, after being up to 12 not long ago.  Just fucking stupid.

Is Harrell going to be in the draft?
Yeah, he'll probably go in the early 20s or late teens.
Draft express has him going 20 to Toronto.
Nbadraft.net has him at 17 to PHX.
CBS has him at 17 in one 20 in another.
Hoopshype has him 17 as well.

This SDSU game should NEVER have come down to these free throws.  NEVER.  I don't know how many folks were paying attention while the Louisville game was still going on, but the last 5 minutes by SDSU was a clinic on how to blow a double digit lead while the other team didn't even play that well.  If I were an Aztec fan, I'd be fucking beside myself.

OMFG.  This is fucking hysterical.  That's the second offensive rebound in 3 possessions that they have allowed to Dixon, who was the only Aggie even under the boards, and he put back another one.  Then they throw the ball off themselves.

Harrell at 17 to the Celtics ?

Thanks for looking that up.
You realize that across the NBA, frontlines are littered with guys who will feast on the blood and sweat of Montrezl Harrell, right?

Look, there are plenty of cases where 1-4 teams played down to the 13-16 teams and then gone wild the rest of the tourney.

Despite the shit I've been giving Louisville, I still have them going to the Final Four in my bracket. As DoTB said, I took exception to the vociferous claims that the Cards got shafted with their seeding. Their non-conference schedule, aside from Kentucky & UNC (who they lost to) and Southern Miss (a borderline top 50 program), was absolute manure. A wheelbarrow piled high with goat dung. Charleston, Hofstra, Cornell, Hartford, Fairfield, UMKC, LA-Lafayette, Western Kentucky, Missouri St, and Florida International.

In-conference, where half the AAC's teams are miserable shit stains, they went 4-3 against the 2nd thru 4th place teams, with 3 of those wins over UConn. They split with Cinci and got swept by Memphis.

It didn't matter how "Dickie Vee Awesome Baby!" they were playing down the stretch, nor did it matter that they're the defending champions. Because the entirety of their resume didn't come close to meriting a 1 or even a 2-seed. The 4-line is right where they belonged.

I'm telling you guys.  I wish you could rewind this game and watch the last 5 minutes.  I realize that we've seen a lot of comebacks, but that's not what this was.  SDSU literally gave this game away.  The very definition of it.  They were literally passing up open layups to take time off the clock with 4-5 minutes to go.

Insane. SDSU really spit the bit in this one. Just amazing.

And this is a Steve Fisher-coached team. Wow.

To Phoenix in all the projections that have him at 17 (depending on the day of the week it is PHX or BOS in that slot). Harrell is a bad fit for the Celtics, he's a PF who isn't as good as Sullinger and likely not as good as Olynyk. He's too small to be an NBA C. Terrible fit for them.
Stauskas, Harris, Ennis tend to be the popular picks for the Celtics there.

Unless you are Shaq level good at all other facets of the game, I don't think you should see the court in this situation when you shoot 43% from the free throw line.

I don't doubt any of this, for the record.  I'm with you, frankly, though I have them going to the Final Four as well.

That right there was like every possession that SDSU had at the end of regulation.  Let the clock wind down until you have to take a horrible off balance shot.  At least this time around, it made sense because there was only a minute left on the clock.  They were doing that shit with 5 minutes to go.

There is pretty much no doubt that's off NMSU.  If they give the Aggies the ball, it's solely a makeup call for missing the foul.
