DtTtB's agenda:

Battle for Ohio
Cincy v. HARVARD not Hartford
MSU v. Blue Hens
Uconn v. St. Joe's
Texas v. ASU

Thursday kinda sucks.

Yeah, not the best slate on paper, but we get an upset or two and that all changes.

I dunno, I see a lot of good match-ups

Ohio St./Dayton
Colorado/Pitt
Cincy/Harvard
Oregon/BYU
UConn/St. Joe's
St. Louis./Play-In
Texas/ASU

Should all be good games, seems like there is at least 1 intriguing game per time slot.

That sucks. I thought they had it. Who do you like tonight?
I like Albany.  They have a coach who knows how to get it done in the biggest games.  As we both know, he put a big scare into UConn when UConn was #1 overall seed and Duke last year.  Hooley is a big shot maker, Rowley is playing with a ton of confidence right now, and they are tough as nails rebounding the basketball.  If they can play their style and slow the game down, they win.  They grind teams out.

Anybody doing a survivor pool for the tournament?  Any thoughts on Thursday's slate? I was initially leaning Ohio St. I'd like to obviously save the top 3-4 seeds.  Cincy scares me a bit. Maybe San Diego ST?

Dopes....if this should be moved somewhere else, feel free.

Dayton comes out tight -- ice cold on offense and jittery on defense. Turnover, charge, 2 defensive fouls, no points.

EDIT - Sibert's three gets them off the ledge.

We'll all miss Gus Johnson this year, but man is it going to be awesome with Lundquist & Raftery -- all 143 years of them -- calling 4 games today over a 12-hour span.

Nice touch with the Allie LaForce baby pic there.

You know what bugs me? Someone scores with like a minute left and the other team just kind of walks around. Push the ball! Get a 2 for 1 possession. Why are all coaches and teams in every sport (I'm looking especially at you, nfl) so bad at managing the clock?

I think last year's first day was pretty horrendous, in that there were hardly any games that went to the final shot. Today I am hoping more for buzzer beater shots, as opposed to just upsets. We'll see how it goes today. I have low expecations.

Wisconsin getting a battle from American U with 5:00 left in the half. A Badgers three just got them to within 19-18, but the Eagles have led since the early minutes of the game.

EDIT - The Badgers close the half on a 22-5 run, scoring the final 9 points to take a 32-22 lead into the break.

Great inside move by Oliver for Dayton. Used his body perfectly to ward off three defenders and protect the ball.

Dayton is controlling the paint and the backboard. OSU better get hot from three or else this game is gonna get away from them.

I continue my hatred of the generic NCAA tournament court. I miss the days of seeing different courts from local schools. Gave each subregional its own feel

I don't have hatred of it but I do agree, it was cooler when the courts had some different colors.

It's starting to slip. What a befuddled performance by Ohio State. Craft sucks, fuck him.

I joined takebuffetsbillions.com---they give all the entrants a unique bracket to enter into Buffet's billion dollar challenge and splt any winnings. They ended up with 7810 unique brackets. Interesting to see how they start falling off as finals come in.

I was just wondering if Craft ever took jumpshots before he unleashed a shooting stroke that would make Shawn Marion cringe.

Please let this be the last time I have to watch Aaron Craft's godawful shooting form.
I'm excited to watch him jack up long jumpers against the zone next round.

Verne may have become super old, but his confused exclamations when he isn't sure what happened never will.

You'll always get an honest broadcast from Lundquist, mild warts and all. No horseshit catch phrases or artificially inflated hype or ego-boosting dominance.

Wisconsin has more than doubled up American, up 51-25. Time out with 12 & change left.

Pitt off to a 15-3 lead on Colorado.

Make it 23-5 now with 9:00 left in the half. Buffs with 5 turnovers and shooting 2 of 11 from the field.
