I'll go with Patterson. That was a relatively easy catch to make and a first down seemed very doable and... he stumbled on his own feet. During this run, the Patriots have had a string of receivers from stars to journeymen make clutch catches and first downs and it's a large part of why the run's been so long. Identifying the Caldwells of the league and not relying on them has been a hallmark of their success and Patterson's probably on a very short leash at this point.

BTW, I haven't seen it mentioned, but many times the Jaguars' wide open receivers were freed by crossing picks. How the Pats deal with that going forward is going to determine how competitive we'll be by the end of the season.

Finally, it'd be crazy to panic now (and I don't really think anyone here is). They were manhandled early as the Jaguars were continuing hits as far as you can get away with now. It was on the road in recent historic heat which I think may have limited the chances of an uptempo offense. They were down big to a hostile crowd. The opposing QB had a great day. They lost 2 key defenders to concussions. They were minus their best WR - and they still had a puncher's chance at game's end. Even if they have to return here for the playoffs, assuming good health and better likelihood of cooler temperatures, they should be competitive.
