Can post it, but there's a reverse angle on Burfict's stomp on twitter as well.

Maybe seeing if they could get away with resting his ankle. He has become so key, though. It's really nice having Gronk catch most of his passes 15 yards down field, and not having to run Edelman into the ground.
I thought this might be due to the interview that came out this week. We all know how much BB hates distractions and when he is willing to bench his best WR for making one joke who knows

So since no ruling has occurred yet are we all going under the assumption that nothing will happen to Burfict in regards to a suspension or fine?

Pretty much guaranteed a fine, but suspension only happens if the NFL sees a PR hit is coming if they don't suspend him. So better hope media like ESPN, etc start beating the drum for it. Good luck with that.

Tweet by Bengals fan Joe Goodberry on what Pats were doing:
This play has Harmon as the only deep safety shaded to AJ Green's side even though that's the boundary (short) side and he's the only receiver there. McCourty in man-to-man on TE. They left the DBs on the slot receivers on an island. McCourty 67/68 snaps, Chung 63, and Harmon 39, so they must have played a ton of 3 S groupings.

The stomp is terrible, but the hit below the knees had potentially season-ending ramifications for Bennett, and the league does not care.

How anyone can justify what he was doing on the play is beyond me.

The whole "Brady pump faked in that direction" justification is baffling. Tom had finished the pump fake and had already started his throwing motion towards Amendola when Burfict began launching at Bennett's knees.

Can't wait to see everyone doing this to Gronk now. What's the penalty? Literally nothing.

If there's one thing we can be confident about, it's that not a single motherfucker in the NFL league offices understands the concept of unintended consequences.

This is what I was talking about. Unless the media made a hew and cry about it, there was no chance for a suspension.

Here we see even the normally good Mike Florio can't even get the details of the play right.

The letter sent by the league to Burfict makes it clear that the fine arises only from the stomp, and not a hit to the knees of Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett. With the ball arriving as Burfict dove, the clearly dirty hit was not illegal; defenseless receivers have no specific protection against a hit to the knees. (Whether they should is a different issue.)

I just saw the ESPN clip of "lack of evidence" I'm done...forget the Pats for a second. How can any other team want this guy on the field?

On Edelman fine, what is the fine actually for? Committing a penalty? It doesn't seem to be malicious at all. Is it policy to fine players for plays in which a penalty was not called but should have been (case here)? Was defensive player fined (maybe it is coming?)? Only personal fouls?
