A Scud Away from Hell
#1 seed!

Game balls to the entire team for another great season, including going 8-0 on the road.

My honorable game ball goes to Alan Branch, who has been a secret-MVP on the defensive side.

BRING ON THE PLAYOFFS!!!

TB12 - was ruthlessly efficient today 25/33 with 3 TDs, no picks and 276 yards. In 12 games this season, the 39 year old put up 291/432 (67.4%) with 28 TDs and 2 INTs. Pretty good for a system QB.

TB12's season projects, at worst, as ~37 TD ~3 INTs over all full season without a mind-numbingly BS suspension.

He's the MVP. But whatever.

Edelman, Brady and Floyd on O

Flowers and Ryan on D.

Ho hum, another 14 win season, another #1 seed. We're onto the playoffs.

The offensive line. A few holds, but this unit mostly owned it. Dante be praised, they're playing WAAAAY better then the tire fire that got Brady killed in Denver. And I boldly predict that they will ultimately be the biggest reason they get the one that is not for the thumb.

Oh, and hello Michael Floyd!

My MVP to whoever can get some screen grabs of the Brady lip reading show.

Oh, Stephen Ross asking, "What are we doing?" That was great too.

Because of Floyd, Brady got that TD/INT ratio record, Edelman got his personal Rec YD best and, after that bone-crunching bell-ringing block, at least one angel got his wings.

Coaching staff and karma gods for not allowing us to win 45-3. That would have made me nervous...

His guy
The guy who laid out Lippett on "his guy"'s 77-yard TD AND for the Develin-ish push extra effort for his own TD

Logan Ryan
Trey Flowers

Injury gods

The AFC goes through Foxboro.

One thing I've always noticed about Blount is he seems like a good sport. Helps guys from the other team get up after the play often, taps players on the helmet after good plays, etc. I think Suh stepped on him for him to react like that.

All for LGBT, but really wish Steve Burton didn't both bait and repeatedly interrupt him.

Nobody Cares
Gameball to LeGarrette Blount for the toughness and edge that he brings. 1200-ish yards, 18 TDs, and certainly not one to shy away from confrontation.

“@KevinRDuffy: Ndamukong Suh asked about post-whistle stuff with Pats: ”Guys are just children sometimes…“”
“@KevinRDuffy: ”…but at the end of the day you take care of your business and continue to play as I did.“”

The thing I like about the Floyd block is that it wasn't easy, it was a clean hit, and it was necessary. He had to give a great effort to get over to make the block and absent that Julian likely gets run down. It was a huge play and shows the kind of toughness he can bring. Really good to see a guy who has screwed up off the field buckle down and take advantage of an opportunity on the field.

Only question is if Floyd is taking snaps over Mitchell in the playoffs?

Mitch who?

Kidding, but kinda not. Floyd isn't Gronk, but he's a lot closer to the "big target who teams have to shift defenses for" than Matt Lengel or Mitchell

The cradle of the game.

When Suh was getting up after the whistle, he put his knee on the back of LGBT's leg and, putting all his weight there, pushed off to stand up. Looked nonchalant yet completely intentional. Then Suh gave him a shove for good measure.

This is why LGBT tore the helmet off that asshole's empty head.

That game was really fun to watch. Miami figured out a short passing game for two series and then Patricia shut it down.

Adding Floyd is unfair to the NFL. I want a Pats-Cowboys Bowl so badly and to have the Pats make Zeke and Dak look like the rookies they are.

Hope everyone is enjoying a celebratory drink tonight for the finish of another great regular season! My wife just bought me 12 year old Aberfeldy single malt Scotch for Christmas that I very much recommend, so I'll go with that

1. The BB/TB era. This incredible ride continues and today's win officially marks a fifth and record-breaking 14-2 record
2. TB. Led us to first place and seeding, an 11-1 record under him, and finishes with 28/2 TD/INT setting an astounding new record
3. Edelman - he's playing great when we most need him to be, with no (expected) signs of injury or wearing down

I did see Edelman limping after a play in the 4th Q, but he went right back out there on a punt return. Guess he was OK.
