I don't know if you can call the play on sunday a "secret" play the way his tackle of Lynch on 1st and goal was. The guy strip-sacked the league MVP and forced a turnover that spurred his team's comeback status from "making it respectable" to "good lord, they still have a prayer!"

Rewatching the game, and the Butler PI on 3D right before the fourth Falcons TD is bullshit. Shoulda been 24-3.

The best shot I have seen of this was in the Sound FX show, where Butler clearly spins the receiver with his left arm.

During the game I had thought the call was BS too.

Yeah the Butler PI was the equivalent of the PI on Bennett. Neither team liked the call against them but both were correct

Because CBS didnt show a good angle, was pretty sure by the way everyone reacted that it would have been obvious from behind that Butler used his off arm illegally.

There's plenty of blame properly directed CBS's way, especially on the proecedural and reality TV front. But I don't think it had anything to do with the camera angles on FOX's Super Bowl coverage.

I'm watching a replay on NFL Network and I noticed that Julio Jones made his third catch mid-way through the 2nd quarter.

How he finished with only 4 targets for the entire game is one of the mysteries of the universe. Kyle Shanahan had a very bad second half ...

Are you kidding me? It's testament to how great the DBs played him -- even when he was targeted it took amazing throws/catches for those to happen. He just wasn't open.

The point was TO was ok that game, but his 9 for 122 was a bit hollow

I don't think he caught a single pass more than 10 yards beyond the LOS.

A bunch of us just rewatched the game, did you catch it? Because there was nothing hollow about that performance.

Unsurprisingly, PFF graded him out as Philly's best offensive performer.

The crazy thing about Owens’ 122-yard day was that he did it so soon after breaking his leg. It was, in many respects, a herculean effort that deserved more as Randall Gay in particular couldn’t keep up with him.

Just from an eyeball view of some the replay highlights of key plays on youtube, I'd suggest one for Marcus Cannon (in particular, leading the way for White late). Not sure why the line struggled the way it did at times in the first half, except that the turnovers probably made huge impact - they did put together some drives. That Falcons defense was really flying around, but the Pats dominated the time of possession, and we saw what the O-line could do when it came together against a tired defense. Cannon is a great story, not only from a personal standpoint, but that with improved technique (Thank you Dante!), he went from being a turnstile to a second-team all-pro.

Yeah, and Cannon was matched up on Beasley all day and Beasley did nothing.
