The Cowboys really do have a good shot at this. Every opponent they play really needs to win their game(s) against the Cowboys for playoff / division positioning.

For draft position tiebreakers, the AFC South teams will have the advantage of the weakest schedule since they play the NFC South and their own shitty division. The Cowboys are going to be hurt by the strength of their first place schedule that gave them games against Seattle and Green Bay.

Yup. If Cleveland loses tonight, it's a good bet one of them and Tennessee wind up being #1. Who else is Cleveland going to beat? Maybe SF, and PIT always has weird losses now and then.

Now that the Ravens season is effectively over I hope they win as many game as possible, in order to A) get a worse seed and B) maybe possibly take out another playoff team - be it knocking out Pitt or giving Cincy a loss

Go f*ck yourself
Thoughts this was a thread for the #1 seed in playoffs and briefly wondered how much crack y'all were smoking before the crack I was apparently smoking wore off.

It's a somewhat traditional thread, that someone else - which poster it was, I forget - used to start. The former starter was pretty witty with it, IMO. I missed it, and so have started one the past season or so.

Wow. Just when you think the Browns might not be so Brownsy, the Browns do something so Brownsy that you are reminded how much Brownsy the Browns are the Browns.

Yes, but they're so Browns it'd be just them to win a game or two, as well. The key match up is the Browns vs 49ers week after next. Loser gets to battle the Titans for #1 overall. Suspect Tenn will win one...maybe next week.

Will edit opening post regularly for updates. Also, I don't know why the board is insisting ATL is a lurker, but when I edit it, it comes back.

It would be very Browns for them to end up with the #1 overall pick in a year with no QB prospect, and the best consensus prospect a LT. Poor Cleveland.

Big loss for the Titans, taking them to 3 wins. They are still only one game back of Cleveland for first place, though. Cleveland did what Cleveland does, and is staying in great position to pick another QB first overall and destroy any chance that pick had at a career. Masters of their craft, they.

San Diego had a good game, losing to Denver and staying in the hunt.

Jacksonville, New Orleans, St. Louis, Detroit, and Baltimore did what they needed to do, but with 4 wins are still 2 back of the Browns.

The Eagles and the Dolphins blew their seasons. They are out of it.

The new software has a twitter-like @ notation, so I can say things like "I wonder if @dbn can add more info to this line of thought". There was an old lurker named ATL who was getting linked on those games that were @ATL. He/she hasn't logged in since 2006, so I've changed his/her name to something else so that confusion doesn't happen in the future.

Sorry I've let this thread slip. Seems to be less interest this year. Probably because there isn't an obvious #1 pick?

Anyhow, TEN holds the tiebreaker over CLE - thanks to a TEN 14 CLE 28 result week 2) and thus hold their fate in their own hands. CLE shouldn't be too upset if they don't finish #1 IF they want (another!) QB, though.

TEN hasn't played any of the 4-win teams, though CLE split with BAL, beat SD - week 4 CLE 27 SD 30 - but lost to SF - week 14 SF 10 CLE 24.

The Browns have a great chance to win out, so that week 17 IND@TEN could be huge.

Head to head isn't the tiebreaker used for draft order, strength of schedule is.

Titans currently have a worse strength of schedule so would pick 1st.
