Just got home from an extra inning little league semi-final game, and this will probably not come as a surprise for some, but I am fucking stoked that Danny has done absolutely nothing to this point. I want to see the current incarnation of the Celtics play one full season under Brad,.and see what happens. I don't want to see Jaylen or future draft picks going somewhere for someone that may or may not upset what we already have built. Don't do anything, don't trade for anyone, no Kawhi, no Lebron...When that Sacramento picks turns into #2 or #3 next year, then we'll talk about making some moves, especially when #18 is already in the rafters.

I'm 100% on the Grayson Allen train if he's still there at 27. He is the prototypical productive Brad Stevens bench guy. He's a dick but he'll be our dick.

Whoever DA wants I hope it isn't that Grayson. I do not want to cheer for a Grayson. It's like cheering for a Thad or a Clay. Yuck.
I don't care what his name is. I don't want to root for a cheap shot player and we've reached out Dookie quota with players much better

Question for those more in the know. How much of Allen going late first is due to him being a dick versus his game not being as good as one might think from watching a few Duke games.

He's from JAX and wasn't a problem child in HS and comes across well in interviews here. Maybe he should have spent more time with Tebow to balance whatever he learned at Duke.

From watching some summer ball, I can confirm he's not vertically challenged.

If he left early, was he a lottery guy or is this his projection?

Just so everybody knows, I’ve ignored amfox for the duration of the draft, so if you respond to him with something super witty and I don’t respond, I’m not overlooking your comedic genius, I just don’t want to be spoiled.

Duke alum here.

Allen actually regressed as a junior and senior. Despite being athletic, he's not a great finisher or defender. And don't even get me started on his mental issues.

Please pass, Danny.

I think it is entirely talent. Hit talent is in the 25-40 range in this draft

He is the same player today as he was as a freshman. He came to Duke developed physically with advanced ball skills.....there wasn't much athleticism for him to grow into any further. I think the concern a GM will have with him is more between the ears as what you see is what you are getting as far as a player goes.

I agree on the regression, but the question is why? Nagging injury? I'm pretty sure the coaching was at least adequate. Has the staff turned on him?

Philly trades the hometown boy they just picked in Bridges to the Suns in return for Zhaire Smith, but the key for me is the Suns give up the 1st round pick they own from the Heat next year? That Heat pick could be very, very good, couldn't it? Like top 5-6 good?

Man, Philly is making some really good moves.

That Miami pick is the only current future unprotected first rounder owed in the league I believe. Surprised Philly got it to effectively move down 4 spots.

Philly still in asset collection mode. I don’t know enough about these players but with Riley and Spo I’d bet on that pick being no better than high teens.

The Miami pick is owed in 2021. Real upside move potential, I wanted Ainge to target it. I doubt Riley let’s Miami be that terrible in a year they won’t be actively tanking but man that team has some cliff potential.

While this may be a smart move by Sixers, I can’t help but think it again looks like their front office is a mess. They will def have some explaining to do around the water cooler.
