Tale Of The Tape:

Records:  Cleveland 53-29 (Home 31-10, 20-7 post-ASG),  Golden State 67-15 (Home 39-2, 25-6 post-ASG)

Head To Head:  1-1 (Golden State won 112-94 in Oakland - LeBron DNP, Cleveland won 110-99 in Cleveland)

My heart says Golden State wins this in seven.  My head says that LeBron will not let that happen.

I don't think the series is going to be very close. GS is pretty much better at every important facet of the game and have a much deeper team. The one advantage Cleveland has is LeBron, but we saw last year what it looks like when LeBron and an underwhelming supporting cast play a superior team. GS in 5.

I got LBJ. I wanted to find out more about the GSW in the playoffs, but I didn't.

I think Cleveland can dictate tempo similar to how Memphis did except the Cavs have LeBron on the other end to halt the Warrior runs which is a huge part of their game. The Warriors have impressed me this offseason with how they have adjusted to defensive gameplans and slower tempo......however i'd be very surprised if Cleveland, and LeBron, didn't give them all they can handle. The role players have really acclimated to their assignments over these past couple of months which the regular season was designed to prepare them for. Should be a great series.

Really hoping that Kyrie is back to 100% so we get the best series that we can.

They're 12-3 in the playoffs. What were you looking for?

Because of this massive layoff in the schedule, I'm watching game 5 of the 85 finals (aka the game where the Garden was 100 degrees). Tommy Heinsohn is doing commentary for CBS. Why can't we live in a world where Tommy does color commentary for national televised playoff games involving the Celtics? Imagine if we got Tommy on ESPN instead of Breen and JVG for those battles with Miami?

Also, KC Jones is playing McHale with four fouls with 7 minutes left in the second quarter.

Jimmy Rodgers must have been on a bathroom break and let KC run the team for a few minutes.

NYC
SC30 officially shuts up Bay Area sports fans who desperately want him to choose between the Giants and A's. He's a Red Sox fan.

Curry, who grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, had no in-state team for whom to root as a child. "There's no baseball team so I'm basically a free agent," he said. "Me and my brother, I chose the Red Sox when I was 9 or 10, he chose the Yankees and we had our little rivalry going on. So that's my team."

(Note to Seth Curry: good things happen to good people).

Do you mean the 84 Finals?  That was the hot game, and it was over 100 degrees.  No AC.  They opened the fire doors to let some air in, which didn't work but it set off the alarms.  That was a good night at the Garden.

Yes, I was off on the year. It was the game directly following the McHale clothesline and both teams were killing each other. Kareem looked 1,000 years old and was sucking oxygen from a mask on the sideline. Classic.

Go f*ck yourself
I haven't been this excited for an NBA final since the celtics were last in it. Steph Curry is a special player and I want to see how he does on the biggest stage possible. Although I hate everything about him, I'm also interested to see what Bron does defensively. Does he have enough left in the tank to chase around Steph and Klay in spurts when they get hot? Will he cramp up?

Forgot my prediction. Warriors in 6.

Do Steph and Klay have a catchy/stupid tandem nickname yet? I remember the days of run TMC for golden state w hardaway, Richmond and mullin.

Fantastic read on Steph Curry and his shooting on Grantland. Highly recommended, especially if you're really into the mechanics and "art" of the outside shot like me.

This is ridiculous:

This season, the Denver Nuggets ranked 11th in the NBA with 106 unassisted 3s. Curry had 118 by himself.
NBA shooters make less than 30 percent of their 3s when a defender is right up on them, but they make 44 percent when the closest defender is 12 feet away. Curry makes 44 percent of his contested 3s. Let me make this totally clear: Curry is as good with a guy in his face as the average NBA shooter is when wide open.

One of the few here pulling for Lebron, but this feels like Warriors in 6. I can't see how CLE wins unless Curry/Klay are off

It feels more like the 07 finals then the 14 finals, just totally overmatched.

I think the Warriors are going to win in 5. Yes LeBron is the best player in the series, but if Kyrie isn't 100% then you could make the case that the next five best players in the series are all Warriors players. I'm rooting against LeBron, not because I'm a hater, but because the game is way more fun when you have a villain to root against.

Some bs calls on warriors so far in 50/50 rebounding situations

Yeah there are plenty here who feel they will win or make it a classic 7-game series. It's not the best of matchups for Golden State with Mozgov, Thompson and LeBron in the paint at the rim.

Mark Jackson might be the most butthurt person on the planet right now.
I can't stand this broadcast team. I just don't get how they are doing the finals.
