Exactly. This is the probably most entertained I've ever been, while watching a game with teams I care little about.

It's obviously mostly an issue of exposure to the game. I do think the nhl messed up by reacting too slowly when the game got slow. They took too long to weed out the clutching and grabbing, eliminate the two line pass, etc. In the process they lost espn, which - whatever you think of it - is pretty damn important if you want to promote your sport to the masses

I think you are on to something here.  It seriously seat of your pants, anxiety causing stuff if you have even the slightest rooting interest.  And in a game like this where it can end the season, its even more heightened.  Lundqvist and Quick are pretty fucking amazing.  I mean, I know you guys know that but it cannot be said enough.
