Mark Chapman on MOTD just said this was Spurs worst start since 2008. Then the talk was about the manager...will he get time, he needs time, all managers need time etc etc. I had a brief vision of Pochettino getting the heave ho with ten games to go and within a mere sniff of a Europa League Spot and then they do the same dance yet again. Promote from within then recruit from without. In this brief vision (and I'm not a fully qualified seer these days) the general feeling, from the future was this was not the right thing to do...that perhaps the problem is not the manager.
Here we have el Podgo (can i call him el Podgo, cos i do like it) questioning his players mentality.

Now yesterday i was watching some punditry and the talk was of Southampton; and when a player goes to Southampton they get shown a video all about the 'Southampton Way' - they didn't go too much into detail about this 'way' but it seemed pretty wholesome and sound and intended to get the players onside from the get go...no prima donnas and all that, work hard train hard, we're building something beautiful and true, for the future and possibly the kids.
I think El Podgo (do i capitalize the E in El...I dunno, anyway El Podgo) walked into a good thing down at St Marys and it might well be the case down there that their 'way' engenders a good mentality and good attititude and now he's got a basis for comparison he can see something is rotten at the Lane...we don't know what that is....but it might have something to do with the fact the Chairman is a bit too trigger happy and there's no stability in the dressing room and unlike say Chelsea who have had similar periods (when the owner got all piow piow) the Spurs dressing room is not full of winners...or leaders...or latter day saints or the kind of stuff of men we want to see in the dressing room if we were permitted access to such holy palaces.
El Podgo is a good manager, but then so was AVB, so was Harry, who the fuck was Jaques Santini, I don't remember him at all. Anyway, the pundits, cos this all came from the pundits and my 'vision' which indicated that the manager has a vision and it takes time to get that across, we know all this...especially those of us who have visions...it takes time. If Liverpool can give Rodgers time, why can't Spurs give a manager time. 'Arry got four years, outside of that you have to go back to El Tel Vegetables who got four years...1987-91. Spurs just don't do continuity with their managers. Is Clive Allen still drawing a cheque or Pleaty?
I've kept this post light hearted cos i think if I was a Spurs fan I'd be nearing my wit's end. It seems that when Arsenal stumble Spurs have to fall down a manhole, when the wheels come off at The Emirates, theres a full blown crash at The Lane...When Arsenal are weak, Spurs must be weaker. Levi is a smart man in business i presume, but this football thing, i really don't know.
Matt Law of the Torygraph, backs me up somewhat...(keep in mind he's not as good a writer as I am, nor is he or was he a seer.)
Daniel Levy will not wake up on Monday morning and blame himself. After all, he did not decide to drop midweek hat-trick hero Harry Kane to the substitutes’ bench or switch off at the start of the second half to allow Newcastle United to equalise.
However, with every managerial change, every false dawn and every step backwards, it is becoming increasingly clear that the root of Tottenham Hotspur ’s problems lie at the door of chairman Levy.
