When posting a twitter status URL now it will automagically make it look awesome.

IF YOU ARE USING GOOGLE CHROME THEN YOU NEED TO CUT AND PASTE INTO A NOTEPAD DOC OR SOMETHING FIRST.  I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS IS.  please do not pm me about this.

This is what a proper twitter link looks like

This is what it looks like when you cut and paste it into a post.

To make it work in Chrome, all you have to do is hit PASTE AS PLAINTEXT, rather than just plain old paste.

ctrl+shift+v is your new friend.

I have a billion and a half threads here with small updates -- going to consolidate any minor changes to this thread.

The links that you see to http://central.sonsofsamhorn.net are me testing a few things related to integrating the site w/ Wordpress. My primary impetus for evaluating the wordpress tie-in is that sample what thread integration looks like. I would like to offer folks additional ways to interface w/ SoSH for two main reasons:
1. it's more extensible
2. I can spread out the demand of threads - particularly game threads - onto different servers.

Knowing how people use the site the reality is that we'll always be using this familiar forum interface but during times of high demand I'd like a way to be able to punt over non-members to different resources that allow us to expand our resources in a more predictable manner.

Managing site load during periods of high demand is my #1 goal for 2014. Additional methods are being investigated (next in line is varnish caching - but i'm waiting on the new version of invision for that)

In terms of "cool" factor by having our user database integrated with Wordpress we are no longer limited to using just Invision plugins/apps.
