The Carrasco injury is yet another reminder of how one moment can change the postseason outlook of a team. I think of that every time Papi stretches a hit into a double.

In a game that no longer means much, Pirates' pitcher Trevor Williams draw his second walk. He scored after the first one; this time, the bases were loaded and he brought a run home.

Pittsburgh leads 6-0. The Pirates had a theoretically easy back half to the 2016 schedule and never capitalized. You wonder whether that might mean the end of the Clint Hurdle era

embarrassing by the Tigers not to score a single run in 30 outs of bullpen.

Looking like all 3 AL East teams will make it more and more.

O's the luckiest team. Machado robbed extra bases.

scratch that, Rays lead with a 2 out double.

Why is Scioscia bringing a lefty in here when there's 8 Rs in a row coming up? I guess it turns Smoak around but after that... let me look at some stats...

Yuck, Alvarez isn't very good. Hopefully Scioscia brings in a better P when the big boys come up. Scioscia probably knows he's helping the Red Sox and it's eating him alive!

Now Scioscia is bringing a guy in with a 1.62 WHIP with 14 walks in 16 IP and 4 HRs. Scioscia said he's going with his gut but it turns out it's just indigestion from a garlic pasta sauce.

Donaldson E leads to 2 more Halos runs! 6 outs away from a 3-game lead. Hold me, Bobby, no one else is here and will ever find out.

A single off that gigantic RF wall and no one scores. LOL

Time to get someone else in there, Scioscia!

Al, did you give up on the Giants and become a Sox fan again? ;)

That pen is going through the stretch we went through last month.

In case you're wondering, tomorrow is Stroman vs. Alex Meyer (the failed prospect from Minnesota who has been terrible this season). So we need this one bad!

OMG I've been 100% Red Sox since the Williams days. I do have a NL team sometimes, currently the Dodgers, but that's just someone else to watch and subject to change.
