Reverse lock. Get it done, Red Sox. In Theo (Shmeo's presence) we trust.
The only thing bad about these past two nights is that they took the MFY that much closer to gaining home field for the gimmick game against the Swinging A’s. What happened last night was exhibit A as to why that game needs to be in Oakland. Get them out of their little league field and the MFY would finish behind Tampa. So, any win that lessens their chance of playing at home against Oakland is a good win.
Let’s have the Red Sox win tonight and lessen those chances.
Tanaka has only allowed 1 run in the 21 innings he has thrown this month, surely it is time for this to even out to what his average should be.
Was feeling slightly guilty for kinda, sorta, maybe wanting the Sox to wait until tonight for the dance party on the Toilet lawn.
But then I repented on YK.
And in truth, I was reasonably annoyed when I learned of the two losses, so kinda, sorta, maybe really means not at all.
Whatever, win tonight. Don’t sit any of Mookie, Beni, JDM or Xander, Mr. Cora.
I just learned that the 85 win Indians already clinched their division and I am sad.
I had to miss a lot of the game, but last night, who of those besides JDM made any real contribution? Or is it your idea that the more they play, the better they'll be? Because.
I actually think that Brock Holt needs to play. He has been hot, and it seems to me that when he plays good things happen.
A loaf we will pinch
In the Toilet we clinch
Game 1 of the ALDS is still a freaking fortnight away
My idea is that those are their best bats overall and the course of the season, and that sitting more than one of them at a time hurts the offense. Or at least, it might. I like the idea of Holt in the line-up right now, too.
I willl be in the house tonight, sitting with my friend who owns one percent of the Yankees in his seats which are apparently in the front row behind the Yankees dugout.
And yes, I’ll be wearing a Sox shirt but probably under another shirt out of respect for my friend. I don’t want to be like Elaine on Seinfeld wearing her Orioles hat...

Third time a charm? Betts DH, Benintendi LF, Martinez RF, Bogaerts SS, Holt 2B, Devers 3B, Swihart 1B, Bradley Jr. CF, Vazquez C, and Rodriguez LHP
Kinsler, Nunez and Sandy ride the pine, although the catchers alternate (sort of), or the pitchers have their favorite catcher.
Glad to see Devers back in at 3B. I was so pissed after the ball went through Nunez' legs last night that I had to turn off the game (checked back on Gameday a few times, but it never got better).
Time for Holt to hit a 299 foot Toilet bomb.
This year's version of Mark Bellhorn?
Just win and get this shit over with already!
Yep. I’ve caught enough shit, most of it good natured, about this two game aberration. Enough already.
So do Moreland/Pearce. I don´t believe Swihart will see any action at first during the postseason, unless there is a big emergency.
Same for me. Devers is immature and makes mental and physical errors because he is 21, but far more potential than Nuñez in the postseason.
Need to break out of this power slump
In the 2nd half, after JDM (12) our HR leaders with almost a 1/3 season of games played
Pearce-5 (4 in one series)
JDM has only hit 4 HR in his last 30 games and Betts 2 in his last 33 games. They are DUE
I hope to take credit if we go HR happy tonight
How about a little chin music for Luke Voit.
No, they may retaliate against Betts or JD. By the way, who is Luke Voit? He will go in a slump as Pearce has and won´t signify anything in the postseason
I was hoping for the Yanks to rest a guy or two. no dice.
I'm ready for the panic after a 1-2-3 1st inning
Just one game though.
we never win in these uniforms. and on a Thursday? this one is over early.
Holy shit, can't believe that didn't get out.
That was a ROCKET
every time Mookie swings and completely misses I'm sad inside.
Let's see how they cheesedick this scoring opportunity!
That was smoked.
thought that was 10 rows out
that's like 20 rows deep to right, what a dumb park
Is this true? Can I make a suggestion if it is?
Beni looks like Moreland, opening up his hips way too early too.
At least he got him moved over. But another weak grounder to the right side.
Benintendi needs to not suck if this team is going to go anywhere in the playoffs.
All good with that AB.
Andrew swung at three low pitches, only one a strike.
A Sale-ient one?
A first inning run is very good to see.
Shitty split, hurrah!
Really? Infield was in there?
Glad to see Mookie get home.
Well if the Sox have all these advanced metrics, and wearing the wrong uniform color is the new market inefficiency, it just seems like there's something they can do about this.
Can't believe he didn't crush that ball.
