Hate how there is only one game in each of the first afternoon slots. No room to switch channels. Is it really necessary to have a 9:40 start on a Saturday night (which will end up being after 10 once the first game ends).

I've been bitching about the Saturday and Sunday schedules since dinaosaur times. With you. I'm basically starting the day at 3:50 tomorrow.

Mercer stuns Duke to start the day. My bracket was looking really good until right now. Phenomenal upset by Mercer, held Parker to as many field goals as turnovers. It may be wishful thinking, but maybe this will lead to a slide in Jabari's draft stock and makes him available for the Celtics?

Yeah, it's a crappy schedule. I hate it.

A disjointed first half so far for both teams with the Gators on a 10-2 run to go up 20-15, 3:54 left. Crappy shooting all around. Florida's already got 17 rebounds.

Pitt has certainly shot lousy this half. Florida is tough.

I'm really surprised the Gators haven't run away with this yet. They're playing great defense and flummoxing Pitt at every turn. The Panthers are having trouble penetrating and passing in low, and are being limited to single-shot sets with just 1 or 2 second-chance buckets so far.

Really the only difference in the game has been Frazier's pair of threes -- and that final Wilbekin bomb at the buzzer. Based on what I just watched I expected a much wider margin than 5 measly points.

Ugh. CBS just reported that Mercer's backup center Monty Brown (4 min, 2 pts, 2/2 on FTs, 1 pf) suffered a concussion during yesterday's win over Duke. He's being kept in a dark room and has no recollection of the game whatsoever. Obviously he's out for Sunday vs Tennessee.

Patric Young.
doubled and still scores easily.
And mauling Pitt on the offensive boards. He's just got too much strength for them.

Pitt terribly coached. just let FLA run almost a minute off the clock.

Every year, this coaching deficiency rears its head in the tourney. Pitt always comes up confused and poorly managed.

I'd like to see a little more fire in his gut and some Mr. T-level venom, but physically and athletically he's a fucking monster. A number of draft sites project him as an early 2nd-rounder at best, which could put him in the Celtics' wheelhouse if, say, McAdoo's already taken by then. I'm not saying he's the next Charles Oakley, but that's who he reminds me of if he can hone his box-out skills (mere physical dominance won't play in the NBA, where nearly everyone else in the low post is his size or bigger) and play angry.

Sorry to break this to you...
Celtics don't have a second rounder. They sent it to Dallas in the Kelly Olynyk trade.

Umm, you kind of have to keep a man on Hancock.  Wide open look after look, and now he's got it going with 2 straight going down.

That's terrible.  And the ball?  That could be a 4-5 point swing for basically nothing.
unbelievable.  The refs even got to look at it on review.  How could they conclude it wasn't an ordinary basketball play?  Hancock fouled the guy and stuck his face in there.  The St. Louis player was just trying to avoid the contact.  Ridiculous.

One ticky tack foul after another on Saint Louis.  The last one was terrible.  As a result, their two best players already have two fouls less than halfway through the first.  If this keeps up, they have no chance of even keeping this close.

And then the refs miss and up and down call on Louisville, player didn't lose control of the ball, and that leads to ANOTHER ticky tack foul on Loe, his third.  Back to the bench for the rest of the half. They are fucked.

Meanwhile, absolutely nothing being called on Louisville.  Nothing.

Hey look, another foul on Saint Louis.  I think they've called a foul every time there is any sort of contact by a Saint Louis player.  Any contact. Is that the new rule or something?

This game is absolutely slipping away from Saint Louis.  The refs aren't helping them at all, but they also aren't helping themselves.  Back to back awful turnovers.  They keep allowing their big men to get stuck with the ball in bad spots, and their guards aren't doing anything to rush over and help them out.  Just standing around, while the big man double dribbles or tosses it out of bounds.  And then when they do create and get an open look, they aren't hitting anything.  Could be a blow out.

St. Louis is not nearly as good as Louisville.  I could see a blowout coming from a mile away.

It's ridiculous that there are going to be 4 games going on around 7:45, but we're stuck with 1 game at a time up until 5:15 or whatever.   Thank God for some golf being on.

Louisville has been given every break on every questionable sequence with every call (or swallowed whistle). Combined with St. Louis's horrific shooting, it's amazing that the Cardinals aren't blowing them off the court already.

The only thing keeping Saint Louis in the game is the fact that Louisville really isn't that good offensively.  Both teams are excellent defensively, but they've both had their chances and gotten almost nothing to go down.  At least Saint Louis has the excuse of their guys being in foul trouble, but if they start making some shots, they'll be right back in it. If not, they'll lose by 20+.

St Louis got dominated by NC State in the first round too. NC State makes even 65-70% of their FTs they likely win by double digits.

Quick, someone find me an animated GIF of the cute big-boobed brunette Louisville cheerleader CBS just showed coming back from commercial.
