Joins Lefty Gomez and Robin Roberts as the only guys to ever start 3 consecutive ASG.

Scherzer to start for the NL - 12th pitcher to ever start in his home stadium.

very impressive to start 3 in a row in this day and age. Gomez did it pre-integration.

As long as he gets thru two innings efficiently & still is on track to make his start on Sunday... all fine by me. Congrats to Sale; he definitely deserves it.

I would love to see a full 9 inning game with those lineups. I know there are always naysayers about the ASG but how can you not get excited about seeing the AL lineup?

It is a fabulous lineup. By the 6th inning they'll all be gone and replaced by players that most have never heard of.

Surprised that Harper is batting that low in the order being ta home, but certainly doesn't deserve to be higher based on 2018.

It doesn't seem that long ago that starting pitchers went the first 3 innings. (I'm sure it was.)

Enjoying watching Sale in all the interviews today. Pretty loose and fun guy. From what you hear from his team mates he is one of the funniest and craziest in the clubhouse. But man oh man; when it's business time he is a cold blooded assassin.

That's as poor an NL lineup as I can recall seeing.

If you had Crawford, Markakis, and Kemp on your team before the season started, I would assume it was a rebuilding club.

I remember Clemens going 3 in his first ASG appearance in 1986. Looking at the box score, only five pitchers appeared for the AL out of eight on the roster. I imagine that's a factor. AS rosters include 12 pitchers now.
