Sad news. Had a part in 4 of the 6 Bruins Stanley Cups as a player and as the General Manager.

Played with Eddie Shore at the beginning and Doug Mohns (who I saw play in the early 70s) at the end. That's about a 50-year link.

Damn, I was hoping he would make it to 100. He was still looking pretty good during the banner raising in 2011, but had definitely slowed down the last couple times he was at the Garden..

Yeah he looked pretty rough earlier in the year when he came out with Orr (opening night?). 98 years is a whole lot of years.

Sad. I'm pretty sure they did something for his 95th and he was looking incredibly spry even then.

And "The Kraut" line is phenomenal nickname.

Saw him a few years back and he looked quite good for his age. Guess the last couple years were not as kind. RIP.
