Kentucky tattoo guy is to the Final Four what Auburn 500-1 to win the national championship guy was to the BCS championship game.

Is there any major program that doesn't what Kentucky does?
they all cheat, but not to the degree that Calipari does. It's why he's been caught twice and ran away from both programs immediately.

Hey, not our fault your football program is in the shitter. I'd love to add UConn hoops to the equation.
UConn football is going to improve rapidly under the new regime. Won't take long before a major conference wants them.

One of the people in the pool I'm in has Kentucky/UConn in the final and I've been breaking his balls for  two weeks.

He got three of the final four right, so who's laughing now?

Actually, he's not laughing but sleeping as he's probably down for his mid afternoon nap because he's 8.

What were their losses? Florida 3 times,a few that I'll give them because of their youth. I would love randle on the Celtics
Im asking a different question. (Or making a different point.)

That team is as deep as any team I've seem in college hoops. Ten loses argues that Calipari is not a great coach. Hes a great recruiter.

They are meshing at the right time. Basketball is the ultimate team game. They had their growing pains, lost against some tremendous teams and are now peaking. Calipari is both a great recruiter and a great coach. 3 teams, 3 final fours

I don't think you understand that the point of college basketball is to win in March, not January.

And two programs in ashes in his wake. (Kentucky in the pre-ashes stage.)

But ultimately this is a circular discussion because you dont care about cheating - which is fine - and won't acknowledge differences in cheating between programs, which is willful ignorance.

I don't know but you are clearly quite sensitive to mediocre and oft-repeated jokes about John Calipari.
Please provide any posts before this NCAA tourney where I have said anything defending Calipari? All I said this tournament was that I think he, basically, he is an all-time great.

I'll be honest, I have no idea what you are talking about or how this has to do with my joke about the NCAA wiping the records of two of Calipari's FF appearances.  May want to take a step back.

Cool. So you think Calipari is a very good college coach?

You are leaving out the part where you declare that Calipari is no worse of a fraud in terms of cheating than any other coach despite his track record.

Its fine that you don't care. Others do and it goes to the heart of the issue. So no meeting of the minds is possible.

Sure he seems like it from afar.  I have no idea why that matters considering the fact I wasn't even making a point, just making a goddamn joke.  He also has gotten two teams wiped from the record books.  You seem to have taken a lot of umbrage with that and have gotten extremely defensive on points I have not raised or attributed to you.

where the darn libs live
My buddy is currently one of eight people in an 900 person pool who can win everything.  If Kentucky wins out and UConn wins -- he's up $12,000.  If Kentucky wins out and Florida wins, he finishes in 3rd, and that's still a cool $2670.

So what's interesting is that he'll know if he's got a shot at first based on what happens on Saturday.  If Kentucky wins, he's guaranteed at least that $2670.  And if so -- he HAS to hedge, right?

If Kentucky wins Saturday, he's guaranteed $2670?  If it were me, I'd be hedging that game.  Throw $1,000 against Kentucky, and guarantee yourself that, or $1670.

Then if I'm reading you right, he has a shot at $12,000, but only if Kentucky beats UCONN in the final?  What happens if Kentucky loses to UCONN in the final?

I actually misread things:

- Kentucky plays Florida and Florida wins, he doesn't get shit.  So he can't hedge the Final Four.
- Kentucky plays Florida and Kentucky wins, he finishes in third and gets $2,670.
- Kentucky plays UConn and UConn wins, he finishes in second and gets $6,675.
- Kentucky plays UConn and Kentucky wins, he finishes in first and gets $12,015.

HOWEVER.... if UConn BEATS Florida, there's a window where he could place a bet....

This is hilarious....there's always a good amount of luck picking the brackets, but this year has been next to impossible.  The games have been amazing though...let's hope he doesn't think this March Madness bracket challenge is always easy going forward though.  I remember one of the worst things was winning very quickly ten minutes into my first casino trip; which led me to thinking that casinos and roulette were easy....I quickly learned otherwise.

I can't recall a Final Four where I'd say each team could legitimately win...this should be fun.
