The old wink wink deal was perfect. The refs wouldn't call a foul for over the back, but the right team would get the ball. Solution in search of a problem.

Another Cleveland foul not called... this is over now. lol

Pacers have played poorly in this run, but there is foul after foul not being called. Holding all over the place. This is like the old Pistons - if you foul 3-4 times every possession they can't call them all, and eventually they just call it good defense.

The Cavs are 21-44 from 3. That's a big part too. Indiana is 15-39 which isn't bad but 21-44 is ridiculous.

78-46 at the end of 3. Toronto has scored 12, 18, 16 by quarter.

DeRozan is 0/8 from the field, 8/8 from the line. 8 points, 2 rebounds, 3 TO, 2 PF.

The last GAME LeBron lost in the first round of the playoffs was to a team that started Baron Davis and had Mike Bibby backing him up.

Bucks will absolutely win this series. If they can keep there guys healthy this is a scary good team in the next couple years. Crazy long and crazy athletic.

Just looked at the box score that is an outrageous duel between LeBron and George; two guys guarding each other too.

Final score of the Bucks games 104-77. SA is currently up 44-43 with a few minutes to go in the 1st half. First "close" game of the night. I'm not sure 25 point comebacks qualify as close.

So much for the Spurs/Grizz game being close. Memphis up 95-78 with less than 5 to go. Grizzlies with 3 TO.

Blake may be the softest mf'er in the league. Tape that shit up and be a decoy, it's the playoffs dude.

This comes down to can the jazz beat Chris Paul 5 vs 1. No one else on the clipps is remotely stepping up. They're just standing around waiting to be spoonfed

Harden and Westbrook are having great games. 106-103 OKC with a little over 3 minutes left. Harden has 5 PF.

Really good road win to endure pansy ass Blake getting out of dodge and Hayward having the game of his life.

The dude got taken out of a playoff game with a bruised toe.
One of the Worst/Most Frustrating injury in sports. It's frustrating because it's "only a toe"......it's one of the worst because you literally can't run.

Absolutely nothing to do with being a pussy. Toughest guy in the world can't play with turf toe.

It's still an open question to me whether the trade deadline deal in 02 was worth it. Pierce and Joe would've been a fun duo.
It worked out fine as they were redundant as iso-wings but whenever you trade a guy who will finish his NBA career as an All-Time Top-30 Scorer AND All-Time Top-50 in Assists for a couple role players......you got the worst of it by a mile.

I don't know what Chris Paul did to anger the Gods but they are pissed. And David Stern too. I hate to think that Paul wakes up every day and thinks about that Laker trade being allowed to go through.

Blake Griffen (STUBBED TOE) out for playoffs.

Kind of funny.
Seriously.

Taking emotions out of it, Blake shows next to zero effort on defense and less and less effort in rebounding every season. Add in his slow reluctance to shoot the 3 and in 2017 he can't be a #2 option. I'd argue he's barely a 3rd option.

Bass will fill in seamlessly the rest of the series vs the Jazz.

Agreed. I get that it sounds kind of weak that Griffin might be out the entire playoffs with a toe injury, but these can be bad. If he really completely ruptured his 1st plantar plate there isn't much he can do. He won't be able to run or jump effectively.

Having said that it does seem a bit odd to announce he is out for the entire playoffs before he has even seen the specialist in LA apparently. I suppose he got an MRI and the injury is almost certainly going to require surgery, but the timing is still a little strange. In theory the playoffs will still be going for a long time (maybe the Clippers medical staff knows being out a couple weeks = out for the entire playoffs in their case.... :))

Your unemotional response is that Brandon Bass is as good as Blake Griffin?
In this series, yes. They won't miss a beat.

These two facts are undeniable, Blake plays no defense and has become a poor and lazy rebounder.

My hope is they con some team desperate for a "star" this summer.

Yeah, good luck with that.

And I haven't watched the Clippers a ton this year, but both of those facts were deniable last year, so unless something's drastically changed, I would be absolutely shocked if Brandon Bass is as good as Griffin going forward.

Yes but it is an unemotional response! All high usage players understand where and when they can conserve energy. Blake shouldn't be putting up big rebounding numbers with DeAndre as his running mate nor should he expending a ton of his energy defensively when he has Luc in the lineup to defend opponents high scorers.

While Bass will play similarly on that end of the floor he isn't going to command double teams on the low block to free up Redick, Crawford and Paul behind the arc, he isn't going to be an end of shot clock iso option to get off a qualify shot, nor will he be among the best passing big men in the game.......this is where Blake will be greatly missed in a playoff series.

And yes, I actually expended energy defending Blake against Bass.
