deep inside Guido territory
Steve DeOssie is joining Beetle Bertrand as the new pairing for the 98.5 Sports Hub Patriots Postgame Show.  A bit of an upgrade on Tanguay and Gresh.

In the pregame show, Beetle will be joined by Chris Gasper.  Albert Breer will still make a weekly appearance and Jeff Howe will be added in as a guest.

Major upgrade. Surprised that Flynn didn't get it but he does TV work after games anyways for various networks.

Huh, I figured DeOssie was done for good with the Patriots radio and TV broadcasts after his Giants cheerleader routine prior to the last Pats/Giants Superbowl.

I don't think many Patriots listeners will remember that over the Steve DeOssie character who appeared on WEEI for many years.

He was obviously a big part of what was wrong with The Big Show, but I figured his stunt pissed the Krafts off and he was persona non grata for anything they had a say in.

He played for the Giants, he played for the Giants under Belichick, and his son was playing for the Giants.

I'm gonna guess precisely zero people at Patriot Place were bothered by DeOssie giving a pregame speech to the Giants several years ago.

It's been a while, but I seem to remember Chad Finn writing about him losing his pre and post game WBZ TV gig because of that. I guess it's not a big deal if he landed on WBZ radio though.
