So I've obviously left a spot open for Edelman. I've got Bill trading Hollister and Gillislee. Obviously Decker is gone. McCourty survives final cuts. Allen is kept for his blocking at a reduced rate. The one scenario to watch for is if Berrios gets put on IR. If that happens I think McCarron makes it. Zero chance Lucien makes it.

I can’t see them dealing Hollister with the current WR situation.

My picks from last time with markup:
QB (2) T.Brady, B.Hoyer - same
RB (6) S.Michel, R.Burkhead, J.Develin, J.White, B.Bolden, J.Hill - same, though I wouldn't be shocked to see Webb or Gillislee make it with Michel and Burkhead dinged up
WR (65) C.Hogan, P.Dorsett, C.Patterson, K.Britt, M.Slater, R.McCarron (Edelman suspended) - they will probably add another guy at some point, but even if they like Lucien / whoever, they can probably sneak him through waivers
TE (32) R.Gronkowski, J.Hollister, R.Izzo - Izzo can't make the club from the tub. Allen is overpaid. I'm thinking they go light here to start the season and look to add a blocking TE type later
C (1) D.Andrews
G (3) S.Mason, J.Thuney, T.Karras
T (34) T.Brown, M.Cannon, L.Waddle, U.John - with Cannon still dinged up, I'm adding an extra OT
DE (5) T.Flowers, A.Clayborn, D.Wise, D.Rivers, Geneo Grissom K.Davis - they seem to like Davis. Grissom bounces on-and-off the roster all season
DT (4) M.Brown, D.Shelton, A.Butler, L.Guy - same
ILB(4) D.Hightower, C.Sam, N.Grigsby, J.Bentley - I feel like I have one too many guys here. Are both Sam and Flowers going to make it?
OLB(3) K.VanNoy, M.Flowers, B.King - same
CB (56) S.Gilmore, E.Rowe, D.Dawson, J.Jones, J.Jackson, K.Crossen - Crossen is raw but interesting
SS (3) P.Chung, N.Ebner, J.Richards - same
FS (2) D.McCourty, D.Harmon - same
ST (3) S.Gostkowski, J.Cardona, R.Allen - same

What is involved, if anything, with pulling someone back from IR later in the season? Does he have to start the season as one of the 53, then get IRed? If so, that’s two slots, right? Or do they get put on IR as part of the cut to 53?

Yes. I don't see any obvious candidates for IR-DTR at this point; any player on IR has to stay on at least eight weeks (for games, six weeks for practice).

Seems like a guy like Michel or maybe Cannon might be a candidate, no?

BSJ had an article last week (before Decker and Britt were gone) that Detroit would be an ideal trading partner for the Pats. At the time, Bedard didn't think the Pats would be desperate enough at receiver to ask about Golden Tate or Marvin Jones due to salary issues ($7M and $6.5M respectively). I wonder if they might feel differently now.

Bedard also thought that Malcom Brown or Vincent Valantine could go the other way to fill a need in Detroit.
