I have a new Old Fashioned recipie I've been using.

One strip of orange peel.
10 ml of simple syrup (reality is I just splash some in)
6 drops of bitters
3 drops orange bitters
Muddle all that shit
Sour cherry, squeeze, rub juice around glass.
3 cubes of ice
60 ml bourbon (can go up to 90)

Drinking a few of those tonight.

This year's Shirts off their Backs is kind of hilarious in a macabre sense. This one is avatar material:

Few things are more worse than having a shitty goalie in men's league.
It really does kill the whole thing. That's why I like draft leagues. If you get the shittiest goalie in the league you usually only have to deal with him one season.

I got the 3rd pick on the 4th try & the 1st pick on the 7th. So there is a chance! I'd gladly take number 3 and draft Jakob Chychrun.

Can you send one of those to me please?

Also, I like Rye whiskey in my old fashioned's better.

Crap if I had seen this a couple hours ago I'd have been in. Just booked a tee time with my uncle at Marlborough CC that afternoon.

If that changes I'll post here.

Wonder if I could make any money opening up a day care at a golf course. Can't find a sitter? No worries - uncle napkin has you covered!

Today's activity? Range ball collection! If you bring back the most balls you get a free order of onion rings! What kid wouldn't love that? Tomorrow? Sand trap sand castles! The advanced kids can dive for balls in the water hazard.

Bulleitt Rye old fashioneds are outstanding. I also go with Old Overholt for a cheap but effective alternative.

However, your recipe is shit, @Dummy Hoy. This is the way to go.

1 cube sugar in the raw
2 dash angostura bitters
2 dash orange bitters
Muddle that shit
Splash of water
3.25 oz whisky
Stir that shit
Add ice
Stir that shit some more
Strain over one large ice cube
Orange peel garnish

Don't you dare put a cherry in an old fashioned ever again. You know better than that.

Nerdist is apparently spinning up a sports division of their podcasts, run by Jonah Keri. Greg Wyshynski (Puck Daddy) and Dave Lozo (?) have one out called Puck Soup. I've listened to the first one with Katie Nolan and it's pretty hilarious. Granted, most of that is Katie, but it's worth listening to, there are a couple actually laugh out loud moments plus some awesome trashing of Bettman and Rangers fans.

It'll be good to have a solid hockey podcast out there.

Katie Nolan is all that is right with this world. I'll have to check that out.

Got my 3-wood re-gripped today so there's no reason for me to even think about hitting driver, right? See some of you fine folks tomorrow afternoon. I'll probably get there between 1:30 and 2 to hit a couple buckets - one balls and one onion.
Yes, I know the onions don't come in a bucket. But let me have this one...

You know we will talk you into hitting the driver- you need at least one on 18.

Shooting for 1:30 as well... Also hoping to break 130. The John Henry closes at 8:00... We should be rolling through 18 a bit before closing time - after round rings ?

Do you folks ever golf anywhere affordable?

I recently picked sticks back up after 20 years...I'm not worried about how much I will suck (and I will), but I'm not paying $75 to suck, even though I like many of you guys. Some of us went to public school you know.
