HOCKEY'S BACK!

Toronto @ Ottawa, 7:00
St Louis @ Chicago, 8:00 (NBCSN)
Calgary @ Edmonton, 10:00
LA @ San Jose, 10:30 (NBCSN)

Any reason why the Cup Champions aren't kicking off the season with their banner raising game? How is that not a no-brainer?

Center Ice free preview reminder. 2016 and they still don't have every game in HD. Sigh.

Oh hey, Chris Kelly. Forgot he was with the Sens.

Yup. Here's the second goal. Believe he goes through 4 Sens players.

Edit: It is 5 guys he goes through since he dusted Hoffman twice.

Sooooo he's legit.

My favorite tweet was someone saying he won the Calder and cost Karlsson the Norris on the same shift (obvious hyperbole).

Its tough to describe your savior scoring 4 and yet still losing 5-4 as anything other than Leafstown

Edit: this is 99% me being terrified he's in this division

The last time I saw someone do that was back in Pee Wee hockey.

Wow, just seeing the highlights this morning. Amazing. But knowing Leafs luck, how long until he gets concussed or rips up his knee?

Oh man, the Evander Kane injury tonight looked scary. Fell into the boards, helped off the ice, went to the hospital. No update yet.

Shaw slew foot at the end of the Sabres/Habs game. He really got the message with that preseason suspension.

Following up, three cracked ribs for Kane, out indefinitely. Could have been worse from what the video looked like.

Old friend Joe Colborne had a hat trick last night.

In the same game, Carl Soderberg scored on a breakwaway and Seguin scored twice.

Going to the Preds - Stars game tonight in Nashville. Seriously considering buying a Subban jersey tee. Something is wrong with me, isn't there?

Saw my first game last night (Sharks @ Rangers) and holy shit Hockey is by far the best spectator sport. There were a shit ton of goals scored and even a fight. Access to the Delta Club was also really fucking dope.

Live hockey is the best. Sounds like you saw a barnburner too.

11 total goals with the home team scoring 7. It was a lot closer than the score would indicate but the 3rd period was a wild one. I'm thinking of catching the Bruins against the Rangers next week. Is it correct to assume that fans of the visiting team sit towards the end where their team will shoot twice into?

Sure, although you never know where most of the action will be. Don't think it will be much of a difference.

Laine with a hat trick, the latter two goals to tie with under a minute left and subsequently win it in OT. First goal was a pretty nasty turnaround shot.

edit: Should mention it was part of WPG's 5 goal comeback after being down 4-0 to TOR
