I would not have called time out before the two minute warning. It gains you almost nothing. Use it on the other side of the two minute warning if you need it. It only costs you a few extra seconds and may bait them into an incomplete pass.

The difference between Pitt starting that drive with 2:43 and 2:50 was enormous there.

Well, Pittsburgh it is. As I said, if you told me they would win despite not scoring a touchdown, I would have said...actually, I would have believed it.

the NFL really has these team identities that are hard to shake. KC and DAL continue to struggle to win in the postseason, no matter what.

Are we really giving Todd Haley credit for coordinating a game where his offense could not get into the endzone and was the only reason this was a game at the end?

Honestly, the Fisher hold will get a lot of pub. But the lack of urgency on KC's last drive cost them the game. Andy Reid again coached himself out of the playoffs by giving his offense (2 point conversion) and defense (3 and out required) zero margin for error. For a guy that is an otherwise great coach, this clock thing is well beyond a joke now. It is a permanent, serious black mark on his legacy. It's just so crazy to me that he has not learned. At all.
