Most knuckleball pitchers like the wind in their face, because they get better movement. And winds are projected to be from the north-northwest in Detroit--so directly out to center field.

Sounds like a recipe for a high variance day, 5 BB, 8K, 3H, ??R. I would be interested to see a study for the knuckler using wind speed and direction as variables, though it will be a while before I have the time to do it myself. Anyone know of such a thing being done in the past, before I go searching the BP/Fangraphs archives?

Anecdotal and going on my fallible recollection, Wakefield had a few very bad outings in high winds conditions. He couldn't throw strikes the ball was moving so much. But since Wright throws harder than Tim, maybe it won't be as much of a factor.
