Amazing post season so far. So many close games with twists and turns.

Collins wishes Mattingly well.  Probably Don's last appearance as a manager. Maybe it should be.

Pathetic effort for the Dodgers in that inning.
Dodgers body language since Mets too the lead has been awful. Reminded me of Yankees in WC game, completely limp

The Cubs beat the Mets all seven times they played this year and had a better record by 7 games, nice system that gives the Mets home field advantage.

Maybe he understands that his closer is paid to prevent runs rather than drive them in, and preferred a guy with relief experience in the eighth to rolling the dice again with a guy whose last relief appearance before tonight was in A ball.
Alright, well don't act like that is anything to be "understood."

It's a dice roll either way obviously, they said Familia had never had a 6-out save although he had some 4- and 5- out saves before. There's no handbook for managing a game 5/7 but essentially forfeiting an at-bat in the 9th a 1-run game is at best a massive, massive risk to take on just to stick with one guy who has already gotten as many outs as he usually does.

Jesus.  Kendrick's swing at the first pitch was terrible.
You mean the Dodgers had an overpaid, underperforming aged former star?

Impossible

My bold prediction.

The World Series Champion will have a blue helmet

That's all I can divulge right now

Yes, where would the Dodgers have been without the home field advantage?

Now I have to root for Maddon. Thanks Dodgers.
Cubs/Mets; great, Maddon vs 1986.  I'm forced to root for the Mets, which is like rooting for the Germans on the Eastern Front in World War II.

It hasn't mattered much in these playoffs so far, but that doesn't make it any less stupid.

Has to be the end of Mattingly does' it? What was the argument with Ethier?
Couldn't tell but the booth speculated that Don couldn't understand why Ethier couldn't get the runner over to third in his AB. Real ugly scene, big TV audience, cannot help Mattingly's chances of returning.
