Cubs doing their Keystone Cops impression on the basepaths, right after doing the same with their outfield defense, nice catch by that cementhead in left, loved the way he looked at his glove after butchering a fly ball into a triple like it was the gloves fault.

They're crappy on defense and sloppy on the bases. Tell me again why their manager is considered such a genius?

They were by far the best defensive team in baseball last year, not sure about this year.

Because he pushed all the right buttons after the Cubs fell behind the Tribe 3-1 in the WS last year; either that, or the Tribe shit themselves and he just happened to be in the way of it.

Either that or it's his quirky management style, like having pajama parties on the road and other fun hipster doofus things.

Other than that, I'm really not sure, but if you ask him, he'll tell you why.

And WOW are the Cubs intense!!!

Give me a break, dial it down a couple of notches there Ernie.

So reminiscent of what some of us went through with the Red Sox for so long. Except people here have been living it with two teams. Collective funk does not begin to describe it, and the questionable weather in Chicago is just adding to the agony.

5:38, although rain's in the forecast. As a Nats' fan, I'm hoping for a rainout so they can start Strasburg tomorrow on full rest.

Apparently he's not taking his usual bullpen as he would two days before a start.

Chip Carey's tweet:

Rain approaching Wrigley tonight. TBS was asked to start game at 1 PM, and refused. Huh.

espn: Stephen Strasburg is feeling under the weather so the Nationals will hold him back for a potential Game 5. Dusty Baker says "a lot" of his team isn't feeling well. Tanner Roark will face Jake Arrieta in Game 4 on Wednesday, as originally planned.

As I said upthread, this is a mentally weak team and has been since they blew game 5 in 2012. Dusty better be fired on his way back to the visitors clubhouse if they lose tomorrow.

Just got an update from MLB app...now saying that Strasburg is 'likely' to pitch game 4
Club has not confirmed yet.
