I'm 0-3 watching them live in the postseason so I'm never going back.
I’m 2-0 when I go to Nats playoff games without my wife and, after yesterday, 0-4 in games with my wife. If this comes back to DC for game 5, she’s going to have to stay home.

Shades of Manny off K-Rod in 07 on that Harper blast. The follow through with the bat and the crowd reaction to the bomb brought back good memories.

Harper is on the short list with Griffey, Manny, and Will Clark for prettiest swings of my lifetime. Greenwell had a beauty as well, even if he could have used a bit more torque on all those warning track fly outs.

0-2 here, including the Game 5 heartbreaker in 2012; will go if/when they get to the LCS.

Having lived here for almost 8 years now, I've never really met a diehard Nats fan... and I've been to several Nats games. Most, if not all, seem to be primary fans of another team and the Nats are like their second favorite team. This is a very transient region.
I've been here six years but my wife is a native DC'er so I've come to know a lot more natives especially through my sister-in-law. They are all fans but they didn't really grow up (sil is 27) with them so there's just not a total attachment. If they win a series or two that could things considerably.

The DC region is just waiting for one of these teams to finally pull through. If the Nats were to actually win a playoff series(or two or three), they could easily be a huge team in the area. I know loads of people who are big nats fans but just cant go all in with the last few years of playoff history in the DC metro area. The Capitals have destroyed all optimism younger people have for any DC team.

Not that anyone on this site is paying attention right now, but this game has started it is currently noted at 0-0.

Nats have made Quintana work a bit though, as he is sitting at 36 pitches.

I see we've got one of those mid-afternoon start games where no one can hit for the first 3-4 innings because no one can see.

That was a cool jump throw by Turner, scoreless through 4.

Announcer such a Cubs homer IMHO, sounds downright funereal when Nats get three outs.

Schwarber kicks around a fairly routine fly ball in the corner, Murphy at 3rd with two outs.

I didn't notice before, but the Cubs have no hits through 5.

If you have four more errors than hits as a team, safe to say the game isn't going so well for you.

90 pitches for Scherzer through 6, I doubt he can go past 7.

Heh, I could have phrased it differently, but I bet that's never happened over an entire game, regular season or postseason.
No worries. When I noticed this, I thought it was crazy that the Nats hadn't scored before the Schwarber error. As you might imagine, I joined this game late because my attention was focused on a different game.

This has been the postseason of quick hooks. Somewhere Sparky Anderson is smiling.
