The Cod Father
Now I'm conflicted
Don't even joke about that
Win for Vin.
Teach a man to build a fire, he'll be warm for a day
Set a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life
OK. Jansen doesn’t walk many hitters (unlike this other closer we know) so Roberts isn’t afraid of bringing him in early.
Mmmmm, fish fry
I don’t know the geography of either city or park, I was just busting balls on Ale complaining about it being far from Chavez to get to a bar. These guys would be traveling from their hotel anyway, but I’m not really worrying about ‘distractions’, was my only point.
You get the feeling that the Brewers would have lost even if it stayed 2-1
I thought I heard today that the Dodgers have won 4 straight winner-take-all games on the road, so tonight would make 5.
Yup. Dodgers mowing them down.
Why can't we have a closer like this?
The Brewers batted that inning like they've already accepted they've lost.
I was going to say that Yelich swung at a horrible pitch for strike three, until Braun passed along his beer
Edit - Oh wait, they lost at home last year.
bye bye brew crew
Finally feel better about the summer of ‘82. Eff you, Harvey Wallbanger Bamberger
Edit: oh fuck, who was their manager. Hmmm
How’d this series go 7? Dodgers are so much more talented.
Each team won 3 of the first 6 games
The Brewers have a great bullpen, but when good hitters get to see all of them 4 or 5 times in a week, eventually they can be figured out.
Yes, but not the same ones
Hurt yourself, fuckhead?
Kershaw got hit around in game 1
Dodgers got shutout in game 3
Ryu got blown up yesterday.
This team is beatable.
The lost art of sliding. Yikes.
These runs score and Kershaw may just finish up his side session in the pen.
Those are big runs for the red sox
This is the World Series we should have had 40 years ago.
So Jeffress gave up the two huge homers this series. He turned back into a pumpkin at a very bad time.
Game 2 is going to haunt Brewers fans until the next Packers game.
And 30 years ago (if someone would have tested the Bash Brothers).
Game 4 was just as bad. Their bullpen dominated for 12 Innings and their offense could only muster 1 run.
I don’t know, that A’s team was pretty strong and the better team.
1st 2 games we lost by 1.
Counsell looks like he just wants to go home.
their lineup went dead 3 of these last 4 games.
Should have turned Muncy loose on 3-0
I don't know. 3-0 after 6, 3-2 after 7 and they lose 4-3 is pretty tough
aka Vito Abalone
Labored 35 pitch inning please.
it is kershaw!
I like these Brewers fans. Never quit
All right. How about 30 or 40 pitches please.
Sure hope that bad back doesn't flare up...
Or better yet, 60+ pitches over 3 innings
That would have been an epic half-inning if the Brewers had been tied or up one...
Minute Maid would be empty by now.
